So much is moving. After two years of grit, grace, and not letting go, the pace is picking up, and the next big steps are almost here. My inbox is lighting up with the kinds of emails that change everything.

Every conversation about the café carries a pulse, a signature of aliveness that already belongs to the space we’re building.

Each person I meet through this feels like a fated ally, drawn into the orbit of a shared mission: to show up and play the part we know in our bones we’re here to play.
Coffee is a Ritual.
Creativity is a Rebellion.
Community is the Revolution.

Let’s talk habeas corpus for a second.

This centuries-old right is a cornerstone of liberty: it protects you from being detained without a good reason. No secret imprisonments. No vanishing people into cells without explanation. The government must prove it has the legal grounds to hold you.

It’s baked into the U.S. Constitution (Article I, Section 9), with just one exception: Congress can suspend it only during rebellion or invasion. Not the president. Not as punishment for court decisions. Ever.

This principle goes all the way back to English common law and was tested hard during the Civil War when Lincoln controversially suspended it (and got serious legal blowback). It’s stayed intact because it matters—because without it, there’s no real line between democracy and dictatorship.

Fast-forward to April 30, 2025: at a press conference, MAGA-aligned influencer Jack Posobiec floated the idea of suspending habeas corpus to “neutralize activist judges” and “restore control.” That’s not bold. It’s dangerous - and a fundamental misunderstanding (or distortion) of what habeas corpus is for.

Knowing your rights isn’t radical. It’s responsible. The American experiment works because people are willing to uphold its core principles—even when it’s messy, even when we’re frustrated. Habeas corpus might sound like old-school legal jargon, but it’s one of the sharpest tools we have to keep power in check.

Entrepreneur as Provocateur
Some of us weren’t made to keep the peace—we were made to keep the fire.
 I’m not here to sell coffee. I’m here to hold space for something deeper.

At the core of my work is a willingness to provoke. To create beauty with grit.
 To turn a café into a space where stories spill out and systems get reimagined.

The world doesn’t need more passive spaces. It needs charged ones. Intentional. Edgy. Alive.

That’s what I build.

Being a born-provocateur means I don’t dilute big ideas to make them easier to swallow. I trust that the right people—those ready for friction, depth, and transformation—will find it and feel seen.

We’re starved for realness.

We need places that invite pause and spark.

That welcome tension and beauty. Where people can sit down, speak truth, and be changed.

That’s what Ritual Creative Cafe & Curiosities is.
 And that’s why I’m the one to build it.

This isn’t just a business. It’s a movement.
 And I won’t pretend they’re different things.

A force of nature, a fierce protector,
The keeper of the skies, the ruler of storms,
A tempestuous goddess, her power transforms.

With eyes like lightning, she surveys the land,
A fierce and fiery spirit, a force to be reckoned with at hand,
Her hair, a wild and tangled mane,
Her presence, a tempestuous hurricane.

She dances with the lightning, a wild and untamed flame,
Her steps, a frenzied rhythm, a power that can't be tamed,
A force of nature, a wild and free soul,
The lightning keeper, she's in control.

With every flash, with every strike,
She reigns supreme, she's the mistress of the night,
A wild and fierce protector, a guardian of the skies,
The lightning keeper, she's a sight to behold with your own eyes.

So watch her dance, watch her reign,
The wild lightning keeper, she commands the rain,
A force of nature, a true queen of the storm,
The lightning keeper, she's in a league of her own.

Cacao. Oh you….
Great opener of hearts and deep conversation… connection to self and other.

Serving cacao has always been the root vision of creating a community gathering space. She wove herself into my story back in 2010, whilst living in the Sacred Valley of Peru, wandering about the land with a small group of raw chocolate alchemists who taught me their craft.

Now 13 years later in the journey, designing the cacao menu for Ritual Creative Cafe, feels like a full circle is being drawn. Still the journey, resting in the destination.

Where do you gather?

What memories do you have of being lost in conversation, held within a set & setting that encourages opening and connection?

When dreaming up the vibe of Ritual Creative Cafe & Curiosities, I was reminded of encounters and connections I’be had at Center Camp at Burning Man, or little nooks that were expertly and intentionally designed by artists at festivals in the woods. This ‘sense of place’ has marked me and become purpose until me, to create and share this atmospheric invitation for magick to occur when people gather.

We hope you will be part of that magick when it is time.
