As I locked the doors and turned off the lights for the very last time, I was overcome with emotion. First was sadness which was quickly replaced with an overwhelming amount of gratitude and appreciation.
My daughter, Leya Marie, and I are eternally grateful for the opportunity to have served you. We are appreciative of the loyalty and support shown to us even when we faced seemingly insurmountable odds. We were blessed to have survived two location changes, COVID and many other obstacles along the way. The first moral is to persevere and look for creative ways to exist even when the odds are stacked against you.
L. Marie's Southern Cuisine was birthed at a dinner table with my mom, Helen Marie, in 2006. It wasn't brought to fruition until 2014. The second moral is never give up on your dreams; don't quit! Life took interesting twists and turns before the doors would open.
I am grateful to have had the chance to be of service and get to know many wonderful people in the Kennesaw and Acworth areas, surrounding communities and people from all over the country who would pass by I-75 with Southern food on their minds for 10 extraordinary years! I am happy to have met, hugged, fed, loved, danced with, laughed and cried with so many people who became extended family members. My heart is filled with amazing memories that will be cherished forever.
We thank you for being a part of our journey and for allowing us to be a part of yours! Feel free to leave comments, photos or your favorite memory with us. We will cherish each and every one of them. We'll never say goodbye, only see you later! Blessings to each of you always! We love you and we thank you for 10 AMAZING years!!!
