Hey everybody! We have a newcomer to Albany looking to join a D&D group that hasn’t had luck finding anything for himself and his wife. Anyone have room for two in their group?

While we may not be open currently, I am still very much paying attention to everything relating to the vision we had when we opened Citadel Oasis to better the community of Albany, OR. This Surgeon General's report comes as no surprise to us, as this was the very thing we had set out to combat in 2021.

After closing our doors, many have reached out to us about the hardships of finding a space to be social. More and more places close as time goes on and any that are still open can be out of reach for those that may need them the most. It has not been easy for us to see the continued spiral of health that we had tried to hard to stem.

To say that it is disappointing to read this report and think about what we could have accomplished, is an understatement. Any one that took the time to talk to us knows the passion we had for bettering the social community in whatever way we could. Today is far from a happy day, but even in those times, we must think about what actions we can take to better the outcome for the future. We wish all of you the best and we want to make sure that everyone knows that we may have closed for the time being, but we have not given up on this community or the people in it.

I have linked the report and I hope everyone will read some of it, if for no more reason than to reflect upon your current position and what you can personally do to help those around you.

Hello everyone! I apologize we've been so quiet lately, there has been a lot going on.

I am not ashamed to admit that we're having to take a step back and readjust. At this time, I am having to find a job to recover from being unable to pay myself this last year. We will not be abandoning our goal, we just may need some time to find out how to provide for the community, but also provide for our home.

With that being said, Brandi let me know about another cafe that was doing similar work, what we aspire to be. They did not receive a grant and are looking for funding. If any of you have the ability to toss them a donation, that would be amazing. We're all on this planet and we all need to make it a better place.

We thank you all so much for your support and look forward to being able to reopen again and help the community more than ever before.

Even though we're closing down (For now) there are still items that were on order for quite some time coming in! So here I have some Pokemon cards, new Pokemon Go set pokeballs and mini tins!
