We are located at 503 W. in Albion, Nebraska. Shorty’s Ice Cream Shoppe is co-owned by Janelle King, Jennifer Landauer and Dave & Deb Landauer. Why the name “Shorty’s”?…. If you live in Albion, you probably already know the “Shorty” it was named after… Jennifer & Janelle’s grandpa, Dave’s dad, Deb‘s father-in-law, Shorty Landauer. Need we say more? ide variety of ice cream favorites - from shakes and malts to tornadoes (Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups, Reese’s Pieces, Cookie Dough, Oreo, Butterfinger, Snickers, & M&M’s) plus cones, sundaes and everything in between. We also serve several food items daily including hamburgers, chicken strips, nachos, fries, BBQ beef & pork sandwiches and much more! SHORTY’S - LAST DAY and QUART ORDERS!

Last Friday was supposed to be our last day for the season, but we had machine issues and had to close early. The machine is now repaired and we will be open for our last 2 days of the season tomorrow, Friday 2-6 and Sunday 2-6. No food orders. Some toppings may be limited if we run out.

QUART ORDERS: We are also taking quart orders again this year. $6/quart (includes tax). We will have vanilla, chocolate, twist and black cherry available. We could possibly do other flavors if there was enough interest in each one… (lemon, butter pecan, mocha, coffee & cream, bubble gum). If interested in any of those custom flavors, reply below with how many and what kind and we will see if there’s enough interest.

We are trying out new hours at Shorty’s starting today. 1-8pm Tuesday-Friday. Sunday 2-8pm. Food will be served until 7pm, ice cream/smoothies/etc. til close. We’ve heard from a lot of customers and know that staying open later is preferred compared to our lunch hours. We don’t have a busy lunch crowd so we figured we would do these new hours as a trial and see if more people want to come later.

Shorty’s is open today and tomorrow 2-6! Last days of the season! We are still working on the final quart orders as well.. we will notify via fB message when they are ready for pickup! Thank you!

SHORTY’S last day for the season is tomorrow: Friday, August 25. We will also be open one final day for the year sometime mid September. Date TBD..

We are also taking orders for quarts, which will be available mid September as well. $6/each (includes tax). Chocolate, vanilla, twist or black cherry available. Comment below or send us a message if you’d like to order. We’ll take orders for a few more weeks and then close off orders once we place an order for mix.
