What a great way to wrap up the final Eggs & Issues before summer break! 🍳☕

Thank you to everyone who joined us this morning at Trackside. We always enjoy seeing a room full of community members, business owners, organizations, and local leaders gathering together to share updates and stay connected.

A special thank you to the Albion Community Foundation for sponsoring today's event and serving as this month's featured speaker, and to the Greater Albion Chamber of Commerce for continuing to organize this community series.

One of the best parts of Eggs & Issues is that everyone gets an opportunity to briefly share what's happening within their organization, business, or area of focus. It's a great reminder of just how many people are working behind the scenes to keep our community moving forward.

Thank you for allowing us to provide breakfast and be part of this morning's event.

It's a weekend worth celebrating at Trackside! 🥩🍽️

Tonight's Friday special is Salisbury Steak smothered in mushroom gravy, served with creamy mashed potatoes and your choice of a side salad or vegetable of the day.

And... it's also the start of Prime Rib Weekend! 🔥

With Father's Day this weekend, skip the tie, the gadgets, and the last-minute gift shopping. Bring Dad out for a great meal instead. ❤️

🚂 Tales From Trackside 🚂

One thing that absolutely fascinates us...

The amount of people who walk up to our windows and peer inside like they're discovering an abandoned building from 1987. 🧐

You know the look.

Hands cupped against the glass.

Squinting.

Stepping back.

Looking at the sign.

Looking at the building.

Looking back at the sign.

Friends, we're not a mystery. 😂

We're a restaurant.

Today someone walked in and, after discovering we're a Dry Pub, said something along the lines of...

"Oh... and you're still open?"

Yep.

Sure are.

A year and a half later, we're still here. Serving breakfast, lunch, dinner, cheesecake, coffee, mocktails, and apparently a healthy dose of confusion.

It's always interesting to us how many people have already formed an opinion before they've even looked at a menu.

The funniest part?

Some people walk into a brightly lit restaurant with TVs on, employees working, open signs glowing, and ask, "Are you open?"

Then on Tuesdays, when the lights are off, signs are off, TVs are off, and we are sitting in the dark waiting for a repair technician...

People walk in and ask, "Are you closed?"

At this point, we've accepted that Trackside may simply exist in another dimension.

Open. Closed. Dry Pub. Restaurant. Bar. Coffee shop. Breakfast spot. Cheesecake dealer.

Who even knows anymore? 🤷‍♀️😂

All we know is this...

We're still here, and we'd love for you to come in and judge us AFTER you've tried the food. 🚂❤️

We're excited to host tomorrow's Eggs & Issues and welcome everyone to Trackside for a morning of good food and great conversation.

A huge thank you to the Greater Albion Chamber and the Albion Community Foundation for making these community gatherings happen.

HOMEMADE STRAWBERRY SHORTCAKE 🍓

And when we say homemade, we mean homemade.

✔️ Shortcakes made in-house

✔️ Whipped cream made in-house

✔️ Fresh local strawberries, macerated to sweet, juicy perfection

And because some things are worth doing right, these will be assembled to order instead of sitting in the dessert case.

Simple. Fresh. Summery. ☀️

Not bad for a Tuesday when we're closed, right? 😏

🍓 Strawberry season has arrived!

Look at these beauties! 😍

Fresh, juicy, local strawberries are in the house and they have my brain spinning with ideas.

Strawberry shortcake? Cheesecake? Tiramisu? Something completely different? 🤔🍓

One thing is for sure...these won't be hanging around for long.
