Following the collapse, the City has taken control of demolition activity at the site, and what remains of Lindy’s Diner continues to change rapidly.

We are seeking transparency around the process and the preservation options considered before irreversible alterations were made—and as demolition progresses.

Lindy’s Diner remains an important piece of Albuquerque’s Route 66 history, and we continue advocating for its preservation and accountability in how this process is handled.

Owners of the Bliss Building on Route 66 say they plan to sue Albuquerque and State Farm as the city moves toward demolishing the more than 100-year-old site.
