In 1883 Dakota Territory, the Marquis de Mores and his wife Medora arrive to build a home, town, and meat empire, facing hostility from ranchers, beef trusts, and violent locals determined to drive them out.

Director Daniel Bielinski's narrative feature "Medora: Empress of the Badlands" screens in the Northern Plains Voices category of the 2026 Fargo Film Festival. The event takes place March 17 to 21 at the Fargo Theatre.
