Join us to welcome Alex Wilde from leading Northern Virginia winery, Linden Vineyards for a four-course dinner paired with their wines!

One of Virginia’s premier wineries, Linden Vineyards is located in the Blue Ridge Mountains, 60 miles west of Washington DC. The entire wine production of 4,000 cases comes exclusively from three distinct vineyard sites. Linden is best known for single vineyard bottlings of Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, and Bordeaux variety red blends.

Jancis Robinson wrote in her book The Wine Bible, "[Jim Law of Linden Vineyards] is a key figure in raising standards in Virginia grape-growing...whose wines have been exceptional almost from when he started in the 1980s.” Jim is considered the Father of Northern Virginia Wine and has been the key teacher for countless successful winemakers in the area. Many local winemakers are very proud to share that they did their apprenticeship with Jim Law. His dedication to the Northern Virginia terroir and producing responsible wines with classic, international flavor profiles has risen our closest wine region to great heights.

We are so excited to be hosting his current winemaking and grape growing apprentice - his son-in-law Alex Wilde - to Vermilion to share his insights on Linden and Northern Virginia wine production. He will walk us through four of his wines paired with a fine, four-course meal by Chef Anthony Chittum highlighting the fresh ingredients from Mid-Atlantic farmers.

This meal will be one to remember! We are keeping things intimate, with our small tavern dining room, so tickets will be limited!

Due to the nature of these pairings, all menu modifications must be made ahead of time. Please email Erin Dudley at [email protected] if you have any dietary restrictions or preferences.

Join us to welcome winemaker Sonja Magdevski of Clementine Carter for a four-course wine dinner paired with her Santa Barbara wines!

Clementine Carter Winery, then named Casa Dumetz, started in 2004 with a patch of raw earth, a bucket of grapevines and plenty of sweat from family and friends who joined to embark on the extraordinary.

From this work emerged a commitment to produce authentic, handcrafted wines emblematic of the vintage, earth and effort. Clementine Carter elevates cool climate Rhône varieties grown in Santa Barbara Wine Country. Owner and winemaker Sonja Magdevski loves Rhône varietals, especially Grenache and Mourvèdre, and her approach of light-handed, terroir-driven winemaking allows these grapes to shine with elegant, food-friendly styles.

We are so excited to welcome the owner and winemaker of Clementine Carter Wines, Sonja Magdevski, to Vermilion for a four-course meal paired with her fine Santa Barbara Wines! She will present the wines and give insight into her winery and region.
