⚠️ FLOODING ALERT: MULTIPLE RAPIDES PARISH ROADS UNDERWATER ⚠️

Rapides Parish officials are urging residents to avoid unnecessary travel following excessive rainfall across the parish.

The following roads are currently reported as underwater:

🚧 Boy Scout Road
🚧 Jessie Johnson Road (Ward 6)
🚧 Union Hill Baptist Church Road (Ward 6)
🚧 McNary Cutoff (Town Hall to Hwy. 113)
🚧 McNary Cutoff (Melder Road to Hwy. 165)
🚧 East River Road
🚧 West River Road
🚧 Gunter Road
🚧 Hazmuka Road
🚧 Barney Rush Road
🚧 Libuse Cutoff Road
🚧 Grandpierre Road

PLEASE USE CAUTION.

Floodwaters can hide washed-out roads, deep ditches, and dangerous currents. Never drive around barricades or attempt to cross a flooded roadway. It only takes a small amount of moving water to sweep away a vehicle.

✔️ Slow down.
✔️ Leave extra distance between vehicles.
✔️ Watch for standing water.
✔️ Turn around if a road is flooded.
