🍂 SIX MORE SUNDAYS, PEOPLE!

We’ve officially got the rest of our 2026 River Rat Bake Shack menus planned, and we’re going out with some seriously delicious flavors! 🤤

That means you’ve got SIX more chances to swing by, say hello, grab your favorites, and indulge in a little weekend sweetness before we hit the reset button in January!

🥧 A little scheduling housekeeping:

🍁 November 22nd: The Shack will be CLOSED while we’re elbow-deep in Thanksgiving pie prep! We’ve included our Thanksgiving pre-order menu, so don’t forget to get those orders in!

🥶 December 13th: Our FINAL Bake Shack Sunday of 2026! After that, we’re taking a little breather before kicking off the new year.

❄️ WINTER PSA: We’re not packing up just because the temperatures drop! We fully intend to keep the River Rat Bake Shack open on Sundays throughout the winter.

HOWEVER, Mother Nature gets a vote. 😂 If snowstorms, ice, or unsafe road conditions roll through, we’ll make the call to close. No cinnamon roll is worth sliding into a ditch over. We’ll keep everyone updated as winter weather rolls in!

So there you have it! Six more Sundays, a whole lot of deliciousness, and plenty of reasons to come visit your favorite little Bake Shack.

Sometimes a little magic comes with a whole lot of buttercream! 💜🧜‍♀️

Last weekend, I had the absolute honor of creating this Under the Sea cake for a very special little girl named Olivia, who turned FOUR! 🐚🩵

But this wasn’t just another cake. This was an Icing Smiles, Inc. cake, and if you’ve been following Sweets by Kash for a while, you know just how much this organization means to me. ❤️

For those unfamiliar, Icing Smiles is a nonprofit that provides custom celebration cakes to children facing critical illnesses and their siblings, bringing joy and beautiful memories to families navigating incredibly difficult circumstances.

And let me tell you, this organization has my WHOLE heart. ❤️

As a volunteer Sugar Angel, nothing makes me happier than seeing an email come through saying there’s a child who needs a cake.

I don’t walk. I RUN. 😂

In fact, if you’re another Sugar Angel in my area, you better have those notifications turned on, because I’m claiming these cake requests faster than a Black Friday doorbuster! 🤣

All jokes aside, every child I’ve had the privilege of baking for holds a special place in my heart. These aren’t just cakes. They’re moments of happiness for families who deserve every ounce of it.

Welcome back to another nunus_baking_essentials mixer feature spotlight!

Today we’re wrapping up the last of the major features with something every yeast-loving baker can appreciate: FERMENTATION!

Adjustable temperatures, a built-in timer, and the ability to proof your dough right in the mixing bowl? Less guesswork, fewer dishes, and one less thing to babysit in the kitchen. 🙌

Unfortunately, my dough decided to use its PTO today, so we had to get a little creative with this demonstration. 😂

Some people leave behind recipes. Others leave behind a legacy. And the really special ones leave a little piece of themselves in everyone who had the privilege of knowing them. ❤️

A few weeks ago, the baking community lost one of its own, Chara Miller, the owner of Cruzin Confections

Chara wasn’t just a phenomenal baker. She was a genuinely beautiful human being, the kind of person whose kindness, talent, and love reached far beyond the walls of her kitchen.

I was incredibly honored to be asked, alongside a group of amazingly talented bakers, to create centerpieces for her celebration of life.

And when I thought about what I wanted to make for Chara, a simple tray of cinnamon rolls just didn’t seem fitting.

Because Chara was a mountain of love, kindness, and everything good in this world. So naturally, I built her a mountain of cinnamon rolls. A slightly ridiculous amount of butter, sugar, and frosting, but something tells me she would have approved. ❤️

There’s something especially heartbreaking about losing someone who spent so much of her life creating things that brought other people joy. Bakers have a way of pouring pieces of their hearts into everything they make, and Chara was no exception.

Our hearts are heavy, but I hope she knew just how deeply she was loved and respected, not only as a baker, but as a friend and a human being.

We can’t fill the space she leaves behind, but we can do our part to keep her kitchen going, her bakery thriving, and the love she poured into this community alive.

Because a beautiful soul like Chara deserves a legacy just as sweet as the life she lived.

Rest peacefully, Chara. Your fellow bakers will take it from here. ❤️🧁
