A little before and after. New deck and wheelchair ramp will be done in the next few days, then we have some work to finish inside before we finally open to the public in early spring. Still working our 109yr old flour mill. Renovations are FINALLY coming to and end. Well, we can see the light at the end of the tunnel. Down to the last 15-20% of work, and plan on opening early 2024. Mother nature needs to give me a little break so I can finish the new deck and wheelchair ramp.

We got a visit today from Jim and Marie Nadeau. They are the sole reason the Alpena Flour Mill is still standing. They saved it in the early 90s from the wrecking ball. Not only fixing it up to use as the work shop for their business The Bayviewer Chair Company, but also the painstaking work to get it recognized as a Historic Site in Michigan. We have dedicated the 2nd story to them, the 2nd story will be a multiuse space and be forever known as the Nadeau Room. Thanks Jim and Marie for saving the last Flour Mill in Alpena County.
