We hired Foxfire at Alpine to cater a 40-person wedding rehearsal dinner and an 80-person wedding reception buffet. The rehearsal dinner was at Foxfire in Alpine and the reception buffet (initially) outdoors at a venue approximately 30 minutes from Alpine. From the initial email to the final day, communication with Lisa was effortless. The initial meeting and proposal quickly became seamless events. Lisa was very easy to work with during the planning phase and menu customization. Calmly she and her team accommodated last minute changes when the weather shifted, and the reception buffet was changed from an outdoor event to an indoor event. Pricing for each event was transparent.
The rehearsal dinner was a mix of cowboy classics: pulled pork, brisket, cowboy beans, Mexican street corn, macaroni and cheese, coleslaw, cucumber salad and southern biscuits. The exquisite tablescapes were mostly provided by Foxfire and the musician hired by Foxfire topped off the event making the night magical and relaxing. The guest seemed to appreciate the quality, quantity and tastiness of the dishes. Foxfire even quickly accommodated a vegan guest with no hesitation. Both before the event and after Foxfire crew helped me pack in and then my family packed out the decorating items we had provided getting us and the items safely to our vehicles.
The wedding buffet was exactly what the newlyweds wanted: Mexican Street tacos with all the fixings, along with refried beans, Spanish rice, cucumber salad, chips and salsa. Foxfire even gifted the newlyweds two types of shish kabobs sticks: fresh fruit and salami/cheese both a huge hit with the guest while they patiently waited for the photographer to free up the wedding party. Foxfire and their team arrived early, set up efficiently and maintained a clean and organized workspace despite the changes in table space and location. After the wedding buffet the team quietly packed up their items and smoothly left the venue without needing any supervision.
At both events the food was served hot, stayed hot and the cold food stayed fresh. The service and team interacted with the guests, were polite, attentive and professional. Lisa a God send – reassuring us all the way the events were going to be a success no matter what nature threw our way.
