Fox's Fox’s has been a landmark in Altadena since 1955. Chef/owners Mo & Paul bought it in 2018. In their scratch kitchen? Comfy, welcoming vibe. Beer & wine.

We wholeheartedly support those who are or will be participating in the nationwide strike today. We stand with our community and seek justice.

We encourage those who will be participating to support small and local businesses, refrain from shopping at large corporations, and to make cash purchases only today.

Justice for Alex Pretti. Justice for Renee Good. Justice for immigrants. Justice for all.

We wish you all a safe day.

A year ago today, we lost Fox’s in the Altadena/Pasadena Eaton Fire. Originally opened by Paul and Eddie Fox in 1947, Fox’s was a cherished staple for the Altadena community.

We miss that community and little restaurant every day, and wish only the best for everyone who had loss from these fires. We love and miss you all. And in return, we thank you for your continuous love and support. Come by and for some familiar faces, we’d love to see you.

Posted • Thank you, for the wonderful article and conversation on family businesses.

Monique King reflects on her professional background in a continuously evolving culinary scene, the significance of community and family in meaningful workplace dynamics, and the philosophy she shares with her husband, Paul Rosenbluh, which has upheld and defined their family-owned restaurants throughout many successful years.

“We take everything each day at a time. Every day brings something new, and we have to roll with it. We love being a family business because it allows us to do the right thing.” - Monique

Took a tour of the wreckage with chef/owners Paul & Monique. This is just a tiny spec of the damage to Altadena. You drive thru and whole streets are gone, but then you come across a property that is untouched. Very surreal.

Dear Friends,

I wanted to take a moment to update you all on where things stand as we’ve finally been able to visit Fox’s in person. To say it was difficult and emotional would be an understatement. The damage was overwhelming, and it was hard to process the extent of the loss. From what we could tell, the fire appears to have started in the back and ravaged the entire building.

We’ve attached photos below to give you a closer look at the damage, as well as the beautiful new window art at Cindy’s, which pays tribute to both our Altadena community and the courageous first responders who have worked tirelessly through it all. While we are grateful to have been allowed back into Altadena, it was heartbreaking to see the extent of the devastation to both Fox’s and our larger community.

We want to sincerely thank you all for your generous donations. Thanks to your incredible support, we’ll be starting to distribute funds to our staff this week, and we’re deeply grateful for the continued outpouring of love and kindness.

It’s also been wonderful to see so many of you at Cindy’s and Little Beast, where your patronage has been a tremendous help during this challenging time. We cannot thank you enough for your ongoing support—not only through your donations but also through the time you’ve spent with us at our other restaurants.

We’re humbled and uplifted by this community’s strength and generosity.

With gratitude,
Fox’s Family

Posted • The Fox’s Restaurant in Altadena originally opened by Paul and Eddie Fox. It’s been a staple in the city since 1955.

When I went to eat breakfast at Fox’s last year, I thought it would be neat to do a comparison shot of this beloved landmark.

I wasn’t sure what I wanted to order when I sat down, I started out with some coffee. I overheard the table next to me talk about how great the pancakes were. So I ordered the pancakes. Fox’s became my favorite place to eat pancakes.

I admired the retro touches and appreciation for the historic building. A small joint filled with so much love.

Fox’s was destroyed by the Eaton Fire.
