Good morning everyone! The restaurant is up and running by new owners! Ginger Gazaway is in need of wait staff and kitchen help! I thought this might reach a few extra people for her! Contact her if interested! They are a wonderful family to work for! Please go and like and follow The Feed Sack for specials, buffets, and upcoming plans that she has! They are open Sunday 6:30 am-2 pm and Mon-Sat 6:30 am- 8 pm! If you have a Corn-Fed Gift Certificate it still can be used there, it just needs to be done soon! Well that’s a wrap folks! Looking at this picture, some may just see four bare walls, but it is so much more than that! I see our “bs” table full of our faithful coffee drinkers, family get togethers, friends meeting for dinner, kids bouncing from table to table, our crazy lunch crowd, our regulars, the out of towners, an old movie theater, a feed store, a motel, and the list goes on! Today has been hard, honestly harder than I thought it would be. It is such a bittersweet day! I have been blessed with one amazing work FAMILY, and yes they aren’t just employees, they are family to me and my girls. To my customers, regulars or not, I appreciate the support you have shown us over the years. To my family, I can’t even put into words how much you all have helped me! It’s time to close this chapter and move on to the next. From me, Christina, Alyssa, and Kendra thank you so much for everything! Tomorrow the keys will be turned over to a wonderful family, who I’m sure will do amazing things with this old building!

Having a restaurant has been a dream of mine for as long as I can remember. As a little girl my granny taught me how to cook the old fashioned way, very little use of cookbooks, no measuring, and everything from scratch! Little did I know, someday I would be putting all of those lessons to good use! When I got the opportunity to take over this business, it was literally my dream come true! My grandpa has called me his Corn-Fed Rascal since birth, so I knew exactly what I had to name it! I have met some of the best people and have some of the most amazing employees, all of which are part of my family now. With all of that being said, my journey with Corn-Fed is coming to an end. Christina, Alyssa, Kendra, and I appreciate every single one of you and the support you have shown us over the years! Another amazing family has wonderful plans for this place and I wish them the best of luck! Our hours now will be today 6 am-8 pm, tomorrow 6 am-2 pm, and next Tuesday-Thursday 6 am-2 pm. Again thanks for supporting me and my girls! Come and join us for our last Friday evening buffet!!! Have a great weekend everyone!

Due to ballgames being in town tomorrow evening our buffet will be open at 3:30 pm! We will be having fish, shrimp, crawfish, fried pork chops, baked chicken, red and white pasta bake, mashed potatoes, gravy, brown beans, fries, hush puppies, corn on cob, cabbage, salad bar, and strawberry cake!! Come and eat at Corn-Fed then go and support our Comets! Like, tag two people, and share this post to be entered in a free buffet for tomorrow evening! Winner will be announced in the morning!
