Many of you know Allegro Restaurant as a place built on family, heritage, and authentic Italian traditions. What many people may not realize is that those same values also inspired Allegro Luxury Vacations, our sister company owned and managed by Brenda Taddei Ajay.

For our family, Italy was never just a destination. It was the inspiration behind the food, hospitality, traditions, and sense of togetherness that shaped life at Allegro Restaurant from the very beginning. Allegro Luxury Vacations was created to help travelers experience the authentic Italy that inspired it all.

In many ways, Allegro Restaurant brings the spirit of Italy to Altoona. Allegro Luxury Vacations was created to take people there and experience where that inspiration truly comes from.

This special menu is inspired by the classic multi-course dining experience that made Erculiani’s a legend of its time.

Long before Allegro, there was Erculiani’s in Gallitzin — a legendary Italian restaurant known for its abundant, multi-course dinners, warm hospitality, and unforgettable meals shared with family and friends.

Meals were served as a true Italian feast — antipasti, olives, the classic “center salad,” entrées, family-style sides, and homemade desserts, all meant to be shared and enjoyed together.

It’s also where our story began — where Chef Philip Delloso inspired a young man, the future Chef Danny Taddei, who got his start there at just 13. It was here that the traditions, recipes, and passion for hospitality that define Allegro today were born.
