Did ya get to see it? The Big Boy 4014 steam engine, the largest operating locomotive in the world, made its way through the area this evening!

Thousands of people lined the streets in Leetsdale, where the famed train made a whistle stop. A short time later, it continued through Ambridge and on to Conway where it is spending the night.

Tomorrow morning the train will continue through Beaver County and eventually into Ohio as it heads back west.

With the heat of summer upon us, many people are wondering about the fate of the Old Economy Pool. The popular attraction was not able to open at the beginning of the season due to a brittle liner and other structural issues.

The good news is that workers have been replacing the liner, and they are hoping to have the project completed as early as the end of next week. After that work is complete, the pool may or may not open for the remainder of the season, though.

According to park crew leader Rex Graham, it may not be financially feasible to fill the pool with water and open it for just a few remaining weeks of summer. Graham says that the county commissioners are expected to make a decision about this year's opening in the coming days. If the pool doesn't open this summer, he says it will be in good shape to open on schedule next year.

Graduation season has come and gone, and that means it's time to focus on senior photo season for the upcoming Class of 2027!

It was a big weekend for celebrating America's 250th birthday! Baden Boro held its celebration at their municipal complex on Saturday, featuring bands, food, a petting zoo, model railroad and historical and agricultural displays.
