Look at the before photo.

What do you see?

We see a confident tag team. Two challengers walking to the ring, convinced they’re about to leave with the gold.

Smiles. Confidence. And one freshly baked 30” Monster Pizza loaded with pepperoni.

(Solid choice, by the way.)

Now…

Look at the after photo.

We see the aftermath.

We see a tag team that found out exactly why our 30” Monster Pizza is still the undisputed champion.

Over NINE FREAKING POUNDS of dough, cheese, sauce, and toppings proved to be one opponent too many.

Those smiles?

They’re doing their best to hide the thousand-yard stare…

The look of two competitors who spent the rest of the evening praying to their porcelain gods after stepping into the ring with our beast.

Because when you challenge our 30” Monster Pizza, you’d better come ready.

You’d better come prepared.

You’d better come trained.

Because once that 60-minute bell rings…

Our pizza doesn’t care about your confidence.

It doesn’t care how hungry you think you are.

It only cares about one thing:

Breaking you before the timer runs out.

As a delivery driver, you see a lot of different things.

Funny instructions.
Unique houses.
The occasional surprise.

After a while, you start to think you’ve seen it all.

Then one of our drivers walked up to a front door and found this.

A handwritten note that somehow managed to be equal parts delivery instructions and one of the nicest compliments we’ve ever seen.

“Came in. We’re out back!”

Simple. Effective. And according to the driver who found it…

The coolest delivery they’ve ever made.

So to the customers who left this note: thank you.

You probably thought you were just helping your pizza find the right destination, but you also made someone’s day a little brighter.

And that’s pretty awesome.

Some sandwiches just feel like summer.

Maybe it’s the crisp shredded lettuce.

Maybe it’s the sliced tomatoes.

Maybe it’s the tang from the feta cheese and Italian dressing.

Or maybe it’s because every bite feels fresh, bright, and ready for a humid Iowa afternoon.

Whatever the reason, we’d like to (re)introduce you to The Mediterranean.

Loaded with pepperoni, salami, banana peppers, black olives, green olives, fresh lettuce, sliced tomatoes, feta cheese, and Italian dressing, all tucked inside our handmade bread that’s baked fresh right here in the shop.

It’s hearty enough to satisfy your hunger, but fresh enough to make it a perfect summer lunch.

So if you’ve been looking to switch things up from your usual pizza order…

This might just be your sign.

It’s been a little while since we gave y’all an update on our little kitchen expansion.

And that’s because…

It’s finished!

If you’ve stopped by for a slice or few over the past couple of weeks, you may have noticed the new wall has officially been primed and painted. (By one of our awesome managers, no less!)

But that wasn’t the only thing that got done.

We got some wiring cleaned up, new shelves installed, and our meat slicer finally has a permanent home.

And, as you can see, it’s already become a bit of a refuge from the summer heat…and apparently a pretty good place to brush up on the manuals for our new kitchen equipment.

Projects like this don’t happen without a lot of work behind the scenes.

So a huge thank you to our GM and the Jeff-man himself for spending countless late night hours hanging plastic, cleaning up drywall dust, and making sure we could keep serving pizza during the day while work on the new area kept moving forward.

And an extra shoutout to our Late Night Manager, Jonathan, for taking on the priming and painting. We think he did a pretty stand-out job.

It’s been fun sharing these updates with all of you, and we’re excited to finally put the new space to work.

Sometimes, it’s easier (and realistically? Safer) to ask for forgiveness rather than permission.

Case in point?

This bread branch.

It appeared in our kitchen thanks to one of our more…creative staff members.

When asked, “Why?”

The response was simple:

“Why not?”

And honestly?

We’ve worked here long enough to know that some questions are better left unanswered.

Like how much dough it took.

Or how much time was spent making this.

Or whether this is technically considered landscaping.

All we know is that if this little guy ever needs watering, we’d recommend a nice pot of marinara.

So what do you think?

Should the Bread Branch become an official Jeff’s mascot, or should we leaf this one in the past?

For legal reasons, we’d like to clarify that our Social Media Manager did not actually attempt to fake a knee injury to avoid moving the new cooler.
