With ice cream made from scratch in our micro-creamery by students, you are sure to enjoy your visit!

Iowa State is welcoming more than 8,000 visitors to campus for Odyssey of the Mind, an international creative problem-solving competition for students from elementary school through college. We’re celebrating the creativity with a flavor as fun as the event itself.

Last Wednesday, April 22, ISU Creamery employee and student Christina Jackson, along with Creamery students, led a flavored butter workshop for the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI). Participants learned how to make flavored butter at home and were able to take their creations with them. We are very grateful to OLLI for sponsoring the workshop and making this event possible!

The ISU Creamery will be present at the Iowa State University Out of the Darkness Su***de Awareness Walk on Saturday, April 25, serving a tribute flavor, Griffin’s Ripples of Hope.

Griffin’s Ripples of Hope is named in honor of Griffin Meyer, son of Brian and Janell Meyer. Griffin is a well-cherished former ISU Creamery employee who worked for us during the summer of 2021. This flavor is created in remembrance of his life and the impact he had on those around him.

The ice cream features a lavender base with a raspberry swirl and pound cake pieces: “Because every life deserves hope.”

We encourage anyone available to join us for this walk to honor Griffin's life, raise awareness, and help fund programs for individuals and families impacted by mental illness.
