If you are a baker—whether at home or professionally—I truly believe you have a special kind of patience.
There are days when everything goes smoothly… and then there are days when things fall apart right at the final step. For me, it’s almost always during cake decorating 😅
I usually bake Asian-style fruit cakes with whipped cream, which are soft, light, and honestly a bit fragile. One small mistake can undo all the effort you’ve put in.
Today, I made a mango cake. My idea was simple: a mango purée drip with some piped cream decorations. Sounds easy, right? Well… my piping turned out so ugly that I had to scrape it all off and start again. At one point, I was so close to giving up.
But I took a deep breath, fixed what I could, and kept going.
And here is the final look ✨
Not perfect—but definitely worth not giving up.
