Alright Melters. This post doesn’t come lightly and we cannot thank each and every supporter over these past 3 seasons enough for showing up for us in more ways than we could ever imagine and melting our hearts over and over again. We have made the best of friends and enjoyed SO many cheesy conversations with you! While we don’t know “what’s next” for MELT we do know we’re not done. We will be taking a hiatus from regular service, however.

As many of you know the owner of MELT, Chef Jason Anderson has partnered up with Magnetic North Brewing Co to launch Smashed Anchorage. While it was incredible to be able to run some MELT favorites out of the SMASHED food truck, we want to ensure we’re always serving up the greatest quality to our guests so he will be focusing his attention to bring Anchorage a different variety of creations with the SMASHED menu!

We hope to see you at the truck - we plan to operate through the cold season too! You can find Chef Jason Thursday-Sundays grilling up new mouth-watering items 4-8 at Magnetic North Brewing Co. He’ll be hitting the road in the truck as well so be sure to follow for the latest updates!

No toaster required on this MELT-favorite 'BLT' twist. Our 'OGGC' cheese blend MELTs perfectly into our bacon, (l’)arugula & tomato sandwich with a cream cheese spread on sourdough. Served with our roasted red pepper tomato soup & chips.

You can catch us MELTing out of the SMASHED Food Truck (located at Magnetic North Brewing Co) this weekend Thurs-Sun 4-8!

You’ll find us operating in the Smashed Food Truck by Magnetic North Brewing Co Fri-Sun 4-8 at the brewery. Be sure to check out the Smashed menu; created and prepared by the Chef of MELT. That Batter-Up Fried Chicken is a must try! See you there!!

Did someone say cheese?
We’ve missed you!! We are so grateful for your patience and support these past few (long) months while we shifted to a new model. The delay was not part of the plan, but we are so ready and excited to be back!
Here’s a quick update of what we’ve been up to:
-partnered up with Magnetic North Brewing Co in a shiny new & beautiful truck! We will be operating out of the Smashed food truck going forward (we’ll forever have a cheesy soft spot for our first red truck that allowed us the opportunity to show you how we grill up your MELTS; but we are ready to be inside & out of the elements with more space to offer more)!
-we’ll be grilling inside now (this means you’ll see us operating when that white stuff hits the ground too!)
-we have a new menu! We’re keeping the OGGC on the MELT menu, adding the Maria Poppins to the rotation, and will be re-introducing an enhanced Hogfather (available after next week). Once we get our feet under us again we’ll also bring back the MOWs and some fan faves - we know this is quite the change up so bare with us!
-Smash Burgers, Fried Chicken Sandwiches & fries on the menu!!! Need we say more?
-our typical spot will be at Magnetic North (with some exceptions - be sure to follow our stories and Magnetic North Brewing for any change in schedule)
-our schedule as of now will be Thurs-Sun 4-8 beginning next week; this week will be Fri-Sun 4-8.

We know we’ve been quiet, but we promise we’re still cheesy… and back!
Final days of our soft launch in a new truck are here. We’ll be operating at 4-8 Saturday & Sunday and are so excited to share new menu items to include smashburgers and fried chicken sandwiches! This weekend we have the Break-up Smash, Double-up Smash & Batter-up Fried Chicken - all come with a side of fries. Stay tuned for the return of our Melts next week!
Thanks for your patience and support while we make this shift. We can’t wait for some cheesy cheers with you!

Turnagain Brewing was our 2021 season weekly finale every Sunday, so we found it fitting to feature them as our 2021 season gratitude finale as well. We not only had fun at this welcoming space with the staff and guests alike - but the Turnagain Brewing Team quickly became a place where we could challenge our collaborative and pairing abilities with their broad variety of brews. We had so much fun with this team of talented, knowledgable and friendly individuals and they are true forever friends and family!

Visit Turnagain Brewing Wed-Sun (hours vary so be sure to check their website for more information!) at 7920 King Street. They even have an indoor fire 'pit' upstairs that is a fun gathering spot for groups!

Magnetic North Brewing Co was one of the first truck stops we made back in 2020 and they've been a weekly favorite ever since. We spent our 2021 Saturdays with Jeremiah (Felicia and Harvey too, of course!) and we wouldn't have had it any other way. The sun always hits perfect (poolside were the best days), there's always something new brewing, and the people are the greatest around - magnetic even 🧀. Thank you, Magnetic North for being such an important part of our 2021 journey. Cheers to you and many more years ahead🍻!

Well apparently 2021 came with an order of extra cheese and we are MELTed. To be nominated was an honor - but to place in two categories that mean so much to us in the 2021 Anchorage Press Picks has left us speechless. Gold for Best Food Truck and Silver for Best Sandwich? We are humbled.

We have the honor to work amongst some of the most talented people in this community. Thank you for supporting local. Thank you for believing in MELT from before we even opened our truck window.

We have the most incredible guests, the hardest working and cheesiest staff, amazing brewery partnerships allowing us to set up and serve their patrons while welcoming ours, and we are always honored to serve this community. We can’t wait to see what 2022 holds! Thank you, Anchorage 🧀

This week’s 2021 summer season thank you shout out goes to Cynosure Brewing; our Friday night cheesy cheers friends throughout the season. We cannot say enough amazing things about this place; the brews, the staff and the Potter Patio were the best ways to spend our summer Friday nights (and surely many winter ones ahead to simply just hang out and enjoy). We sure do love Cynosure. Be sure to check them out at 144 E Potter Dr // Tuesday-Sunday! 🧀🍻
