To all our “La Mexicans”

It has been almost eight months since we closed our doors on King Street and not a day goes by that I don’t think about trying to re open another La Mex. I have met with a few of the staff and although there is still a possibility a re-opening could occur… it just will not be in the near future. After two years of uphill battles in what seems like all aspects of the restaurant business..it is just not feasible to try to operate a full blown restaurant at this time.
With that said…. I have not given up on the idea of another La Mex.. we will just have to wait and see what happens next with regards to Employment, Inflation, and our Economy.

In the mean time, check back at the beginning of Summer for possible “pop ups”, for those of you that may need your salsa fixes….yep… I said it… “Salsa Fixes”!!!

We are going to take a short pause and refrain from making any posts over the next week.
We have been getting a lot of messages regarding when and where and if we will be reopening, and will be able to answer those questions in our next post.

To All La Mexicans:

On June 5th we closed the Dimond restaurant ending over 23 years in that location. Every staff member that walked out the door on our final day is what I consider extraordinary. The amount of hard work they all put in is unimaginable due to the amount of business coming in, but also due in part to the shortage of staff.
This past year, although as difficult as it has been, has showed us just how much love and support there is for the La Mex team and legacy to continue. So..as our quest for a new location continues, we will keep our website and page updated on a regular basis.
Thank you to all of our customers and until then……..
