RHUBARB SORBET SZN!! The most refreshing scoop on a sunny day like today ☀️

Earlier this summer we traded ice cream coupons for local rhubarb from around the neighborhood! We cleaned it, we chopped it, we juiced it, and we used it for this delightfully tart scoop. This flavor is like Tart Rhubarb but is entirely vegan.

Originally an Adventure Club treat, this scoop has become one of our most beloved summer flavors!! How will you enjoy it-- cup or cone?? 🤨🍦

If you have been in to our Midtown Scoop shop in the past couple of weeks you may have noticed some new art on the wall courtesy of local artist, Laura Dewey!

Her stellar work includes vibrant colors, unique shading, and gorgeous, flowy depictions of uniquely Alaskan landscapes. Based in Sterling, Alaska, Laura lives on the outskirts of the Kenai Wildlife Refuge which inspired this installation.

Now through August, enjoy your scoops with the wonderful backdrop of Laura's awesome and inspired works! Check out our Blog to read more about Laura Dewey and her pieces in shop and beyond!

Time flies when you're having fun and as the season winds down we are seeking more scoopers for our team!

We are now accepting Scoop Team applications for both late summer/early fall candidates and those who wish to work year-round! We are looking for people who are able to work at least 3 shifts per week and are excited about the prospect of sharing joy through our ice cream!

Fireweed is back in the shop now! A floral scoop with hints of honey, this flavor is one of our favorite summer scoops!

Believe it or not, before we added this ice cream to our dipping cabinet, Fireweed was the single most-requested flavor that visitors to our shop told us they wanted to try!

Fireweed is a quintessitially Alaskan species (though it does grow throughout Canada and down into much of the Lower 48). For all Alaskans, watching these magenta flowers bloom and be replaced by cottony seedpods is an unmistakable sign of summer's progress, as well as its inevitable and bittersweet wind down.

Shout-out to all our friends and community members who contributed to last month's fundraiser in support of Choosing Our Roots! We are stoked to be able to contribute almost $4,000 to their mission to support members of the LGBTQ+ community right here in Anchorage!
