Covid and 2020
I had been so excited that I had survived 2019 and looked forward the new, fresh start and goals. Well, now it being the 7th month into this 2020. Never would I think I would see a pandemic and really wasn't aware of the vast spread over countries so quickly was even a thing. Never did pay attention in history class....
close, open, dine in, take out.... mask, no mask. Lives matter and statues are offensive. Im not sharing opinions on that, just stating the happenings at this time. It’s tough to see unfold and I have no idea where the rest of this year is going.
Opinions, anger, disputes, opposing sides... I do wish for a coming together for all of us.
jackies was closed for two days after the announcement to close for dine in service. Had to regroup, plan and adapt. Never would I thought something like that could happen. How did we do?? It was odd, quiet, and uncertain. Without the help from my employees, Im not sure I would have had the guts and go for it that they helped lead me to. Emily is a creative ball of gusto and she can think outside the box. So appreciative of her. Cindy, Pineapple, Toy, Terry, Cheryl, Maria, Ameri, Jim Dooley and the faithful supporters of this community made this crazy time fun, heartfelt, positive, and brighter than I was anticipating. Its our livelihood, yes, but its also our friends ... our social life, our family. I cannot give enough thanks. I just can't.
