Urban Greens is hiring for a part time evening prep cook.
Responsibilities include washing and cutting vegetables, roasting, preparing dressings from scratch and more.
Hours are Sunday- Thursday, 6pm-10pm with some flexibility.

Urban Greens is a sandwich and salad shop located in downtown Anchorage. We have been providing the Anchorage business community with fresh and delicious food since 2008.

We are currently hiring for a 9:00am-4:00pm line cook position, 30-35 hrs./wk.

Responsibilities:

Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies
Prepare food for service (prep)
Prepare menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
Answer, report and follow Kitchen manager’s instructions
Clean up station
Stock inventory appropriately
Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion
Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers

Skills:

Good knife skills
Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks

Responsibilities

We are currently hiring for a 5am-1pm morning prep and line cook position, 30-40 hrs./wk with some flexibility. Must have a minimum of three years full service restaurant experience.

Responsibilities include:

-Operating a meat slicer
-Baking and roasting
-Receiving deliveries
-Maintaining a neat and clean work area
-Cleaning
-Making salads and sandwiches

Requirements:

-Food Handler card
-Standing for extended periods
-Reaching, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds
-Excellent knife skills
-Knowledge and understanding of kitchen techniques
-Good communication skills
-Critical thinking and problem solving skills.
-Ability to multi-task and work independently
-Attention to detail
-Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
