Happy Friday, and happy summer break!
We’ve got two lovely specials for Anchorage tonight…

The Godfather Pizza: We’ve made a pizza you can’t refuse!

With no relation to the movie, this pizza has tomato sauce, peppered salami, cured salami, Calabrese, Mama Lil’s peppers, and fresh mozzarella. Baked in our hearth, and topped with arugula, honey, parmesan, and red pepper flakes!

Pastitsio: AKA “Greek Lasagna”
Red wine and tomato braised lamb & beef, simmered with onions, celery, shallots, garlic, cinnamon, cloves, and nutmeg! Tossed with fresh Rigatoni from our local AK Pasta Co., then covered with Bèchamel, mozzarella, and feta cheese. Baked, and topped with fresh herbs, Parmigiano Reggiano, and pepper flakes!

Happy summer break to all the students (or freshly graduated!) out there!

Happy Mother’s Day!

While we are unabashedly going to pander this lovely Butterfly Pea Mousse with lemon thyme shortbread cookies and a lemon syrup tonight, we also want to take a moment to appreciate all of the lovely mothers in our lives. Mothers, mamas, single moms, new moms, step moms, single moms, baby mamas, baby mamas mamas, we see you and appreciate you.

We hope you’re all treated like royalty today, and you manage to make some time to cherish the love and light in your life. For anyone who’s missing their mama today, we see you too. We’ll be here doing our part to make someone’s day a little more lovely, and look forward to serving you all this evening.

We do want to give you a heads up though, our reservations are completely booked! While we always reserve space for walk ins, do your mother a favor and give us a call before you come in and find out it will be 45 minutes for a table. :)

Happy Friday!
We’ve got a “fishy” special for everyone today…

Soy Glazed AK Salmon -
A 6oz skin-on Cook Inlet Sockeye salmon, which has been brined with citrus & maple, then pan seared. Served over jasmine rice, with stir fried broccoli, zucchini, carrots, and spinach. This is finished with a maple, soy, and bourbon glaze, and topped with scallions and sesame seed.

Since we have this salmon special, we are also offering a topper of 6oz Sockeye salmon to any dish!

Pop on down to get a nice taste of summer!

Happy Sunday!
We’ve got our final menu changes for the summer all geared up and ready to go!

Scallops and Porkbelly:
Tweaked for summer, we’ve got pan-seared Kodiak Weathervane scallops and crispy braised porkbelly, with bok choy, celery root puree, and a soy & honey reduction.

Harissa Spice Roasted Carrots:
Roasted carrots, with harissa spice, and served with a roasted garlic yogurt sauce and chives.

Chicken Saltimbocca:
Thinly pounded chicken breast, layered with fresh sage and prosciutto, then pan-seared and baked. Served with garlic mashed potatoes, charred broccolini, a caper cream sauce, and Parmigiano Reggiano.

Summer is just right around the corner, and so are we! Or, for some of you we are. Regardless of where in Anchorage you reside, you won’t regret popping in to try out our new (and some improved) dishes!!

Happy Friday, and happy May!
Hopefully all these April showers bring May flowers soon, but for the time being, our cooks are bringing new dishes to the Goat in our second and final portion of the spring menu!

Spring Chèvre Pasta:
Rigatoni pasta locally sourced from AK Pasta Co., with a creamy garlic sauce with chèvre, snap peas, broccolini, spinach, and pancetta. Topped with Parmigiano Reggiano, fresh basil, and red pepper flake.

Rigatoni Bolognese:
Veal, beef, and pork, simmered in a red wine & tomato sauce, with a splash of heavy cream and butter. Tossed with Rigatoni pasta locally sourced from AK Pasta Co., and topped with Parmigiano Reggiano and basil.

Steak & Bearnaise:
12oz St Helens premium Angus New York Strip, seared and served with garlic mashed potatoes, charred broccolini, Demi Glace, and Bearnaise.

Shrimp Pasta:
6oz butterflied shrimp, simmered in a rich, bisque-like sauce, tossed with fresh Pappardelle from AK Pasta Co. Topped with Parmigiano Reggiano, red pepper flake, and parsley.

Stay sturdy out there in this wind, or blow on in to try out these new dishes!

Happy Friday!
Slush Cup is making its way toward us, and for those who think it may be a little toooo slushy today, we’ve got specials!!

First up we’ve got an entree that’s guaranteed to warm you up:
Cioppino, an Italian seafood and tomato dish that we brought to the Rustic Goat. A stew of Halibut, Weathervane scallops, mussels, clams, and butterflied shrimp, we are all hitting our protein goal today! All simmered in tomato broth, with corn on the cob, bell peppers, shallots, garlic, onion, white wine, and butter. Served with toasted Asiago pesto bread to sop up the leftovers!

And, as always, dessert!
A classic chocolate cake, layered with chocolate frosting, and served with vanilla ice cream and raspberries!

The long awaited sequel to our new menu is here…
Still more changes to arrive, but we’re excited to announce new side veggies and an entree today!

Kalbi Bowl:
A favorite from last year has returned, hurray!
A 10oz Prime flanked-cut short ribs, which have been marinated, seared, and served with jasmine rice, bok choy, kimchi, housemade gochugaru pickles, and marinated 7 minute eggs!

Bok Choy:
This side veggie dish includes bok choy (of course) in a honey soy sauce, and comes with miso aioli!

Fingerling Potatoes:
A revamp on the previous potato side veggie, fried fingerling potatoes with a new garlic and dill crema!
