We generally stick to business on this page, but this was sent to us in a message today and I had to share it. It’s easy to say that God is good because He saved Abe, but I had to come to terms with the fact that even if He didn’t, He would still be good. That was the hardest thing I have ever done.

“All the Time”

Preacher: God is good.
People: All the time.
Preacher: All the time.
People: God is good.

Now say it again—
not like a routine…but like a rescue.

But let’s be real…
All the time?
Even when the bills stack taller than your faith?
Even when the doctor’s voice gets quiet
and your world gets loud?
Even when prayers feel like they’re hitting the ceiling
and falling back down unanswered?

Yeah… all the time.

Because goodness was never promised
to feel good.
See, there’s a difference
between comfort
and covenant.

The Bible says, “Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning.”

But nobody talks about how long that night can feel…
how heavy 2:00 a.m. gets
when your heart is wide awake
and your hope is half asleep.

Still… morning is on the way.

Because “Yea, though I walk through the valley…”
—not to set up camp, not to build a house—
to walk through.

Which means this pain?
It’s passing.

This storm?
It’s got an expiration date.

“God is good!”
“All the time!”

Not just when the check clears -
But when you have more bottles in the medicine cabinet
than cans in the pantry.
Not just when your body is healed -
But when faith and a cane are the only things keeping you standing,
the only things helping you get out of bed in the morning.

Because “All things work together for good…”

Yeah, even that thing.
That heartbreak.
That setback.
When that door slammed so hard
your hope almost came off its hinges.

That thing? It didn’t break you.
It built you.

See, the scripture says,
“The Lord is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble…”
Not the day of comfort.
Not the day of everything-going-your-way…
but trouble.

And somewhere between “Why me?”
and “Use me,”
you start to see it -
He never left me.

The song says, “Amazing Grace, how sweet the sound…”

But grace ain’t always that soft and sweet sounding -
sometimes it sounds like silence
so God can work behind the scenes.

Sometimes it sounds like “I will trust in the Lord…”
when trusting is the hardest thing you’ve ever had to do.

Sometimes it looks like closed doors,
missed opportunities,
and prayers answered with “not yet.”

But then you remember -
“All things work together for good…”

Not some things.
Not easy things.
All things.

And sometimes…
it sounds like a wispy whisper into your woe:
“I’ve got you.”

Because “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want…”
Even when the world leaves me…
leaves me wondering and wandering
and walking through valleys
with unseen exits and shadowy outcomes.

Still…
He prepares tables in the presence of enemies -
and peace in the presence of chaos.

So when the preacher calls it out again - “God is good!”
And you respond - “All the time!”

Don’t just repeat it…
Remember it. Feel it.

Say it with scars in your story,
with tears in your testimony,
with breath that comes from last gasps pushed out from intimate airways - emergency airlocks if you will -
drawing life from the recycled air He breathed into your nostrils
long ago at your very genesis
when He was numbering your hairs
and getting to know you in your mother’s womb.

Because “God is good!”

And now your soul answers back this time -
stronger, resolved, convinced, convicted:

“All the time!”

And “All the time.”
“God is good!”
