🍻 WHAT AN ABSOLUTELY AMAZING MONDAY.

Yesterday was one of those days that I’ll carry with me for a long time.

I had the incredible opportunity to brew alongside some people I consider true icons of the brewing community:
•Travis and Fritz of Sage Street Ale Works in Toccoa
•Dave Grace, formerly of Nocturnal Brewing and now at Rabun Brewing in the Dillard House
•Jacob of Snowbird Mountain Brewery

The brewing community is something I absolutely do not take for granted. It’s a tight-knit family of people who genuinely want to see one another succeed. There’s a camaraderie, willingness to help, and shared passion that is hard to explain unless you’ve experienced it firsthand. In many ways, it reminds me of Andrews, a community that lifts each other up and celebrates success together, not individually.

We spent the day brewing an incredibly unique Yuzu beer, and it was an experience I won’t soon forget. I am truly humbled to be a part of this industry and grateful to these guys for welcoming us into their brewery, sharing their knowledge, and allowing us to learn from some of the very best in the business.

Thank you, gentlemen. I can’t wait for everyone to taste this beer.

What a beautiful Sunday here in Andrews! ☀️🏔️

First, Happy Father’s Day to all the dads, stepdads, grandfathers, father figures, and hardworking men who show up every day for their families. Thank you for the sacrifices you make, the lessons you teach, the laughs you provide, and the love you give. We hope you have an incredible day…you’ve earned it. ❤️

‼️❤️‼️Now… can we talk about last night for a minute?‼️❤️‼️

I am absolutely blown away. Humbled. Grateful beyond words.

When we planned our first comedy show, we hoped people would come. We hoped folks would laugh. We hoped it would be something special.

Instead, you all exceeded every expectation we had.

We SOLD OUT… and then oversold tickets. 🤯

And the show absolutely delivered.

Looking out into that crowd last night and seeing so many people gathered together, laughing, smiling, and enjoying themselves was one of those moments I’ll never forget. For a couple hours, everyone put life on pause and just had fun together, and that’s exactly what community is supposed to be.

A huge thank you to everyone who bought a ticket, came out, brought friends, laughed loud, and supported something new. Thank you to our incredible comedians for bringing the house down and making the night unforgettable.

Comedy has always held a special place in my heart.

Growing up, my mom worked multiple jobs as a single mother. She worked incredibly hard to keep me safe, keep food on the table, and put me through a Catholic school. But when your parent is working that hard, there can be a lot of alone time.

I spent plenty of afternoons with my Matchbox cars, watching Scooby-Doo, Archie Bunker, and listening to comedy albums and stand-up routines.

And honestly? Comedy helped get me through some difficult times as a kid.

Laughter has a way of making things feel a little lighter. It brings people together. It reminds us that even when life gets tough, there’s still joy to be found.

For a long time, I’ve wanted to bring more comedy to this area because I know firsthand how powerful it can be.

Last night felt like proof that we can do it.

That this community wants it.

That together we can build something really special right here in our little corner of the mountains.

And none of it would have happened without you.

Every person who walked through our doors. Every person who shared a post. Every person who told a friend. Every person who supports Hoppy Trout.

Thank you.

🔥 WHAT A NIGHT LAST NIGHT! 🔥

We knew early on we were headed for a dough emergency, so halfway through the day we called an audible, fired everything back up, and made more. And thank goodness we did—because YOU showed up and showed out!

From start to finish, it was an incredible day at Hoppy Trout, and we couldn’t be more grateful.

A huge thank you to Colton James for providing the soundtrack to an amazing evening. What an incredible talent! 🎶

‼️❤️‼️Before we get rolling today, I want to take a moment for a few heartfelt thank-yous.

First, a huge thank you to our incredible staff for allowing myself and Kam to sneak away for an evening and enjoy some much-needed time with friends. We had dinner at the amazing Poor Parsons Pub with our friends Eric and Shannon from The Tattered Tartan Pub. Scott is absolutely knocking it out of the park…the food was fantastic, the service was wonderful, and it reminded us just how lucky we are to be surrounded by so many great local businesses.

After dinner, we wandered over to Mountain Vale Lodge to visit Jen, met the folks from Wagner Worx Co-Working Bar and simply enjoyed an evening connecting with friends and neighbors. It was exactly the recharge we needed, and we’re coming back refreshed, grateful, and ready to go.

A huge thank you to Ron! Happy Birthday!
Ron asked if I’d be interested in an original Andrews Brewing Company growler from the OG brewery here in Andrews. My response was immediate:

We stopped by Cherokee Cellars, checked out the amazing area atWagner Worx Co-Working Bar and even swung by Kephart Outdoors to admire a few fly rods. Sometimes a day off is best spent supporting fellow small businesses and getting inspired for the week ahead.
