Good Morning-Good Afternoon-Good Night-Goodbye
After 30 odd years we are saying goodbye. We have closed our restaurant after months of speculation, rumor, and innuendo. We are a privately owned business, and we keep our decisions private. We need not explain why we are closing, as the reasons are many. We were blindsided by a local media outlet which led to our evasiveness and created a social media frenzy. Social media can be a highly effective tool to put forth a message for many. In the case of Captain’s Cabin that message was skewed on social media by many. It seems that there are some that think they know us, some who do not know us but appear that they do, and some who just want to engage in a conversation for conversation’s sake. Misquotes were many. We were very evasive because of the aforementioned items. We feel that we gave the best opportunity to enjoy some really good food and drink in a unique setting. We as a family worked hard to hold “The Cabin” to a high standard. We hope we succeed. Thank you to those who supported us through the years, you will be missed and forever in our hearts.
