This fall has just been too nice! Looks like The Backyard will see November this year!

The weather seems to be turning over the next week, so this will be it for the 2026 season. Come on out and help us end the season on a high note (and clear out some ice cream!)

The final two weekends on the 2026 season!

We will be open this weekend, 17th & 18th and the following weekend from 2 to 7!

Bundle up and get out of the house, it’s spooky season, and we’re loving a little chill to the air.

Open 2 to 7 Saturday and Sunday!

Another gorgeous fall weekend, and we’re still open!

As we always do in October, we’ll now be closing at 7. If you’re in the door by 6:59, you’re good to play. It just gets too dark even with our lights to safely play.

We’ll continue to check the weather but it looks like we have a weekend or so left. We’ll keep you updated on our final weekend.

Now THIS is the kind of fall weather we were hoping for! Sunny and high 60s, whether you’re up here to get the lake closed up, enjoying another beautiful weekend in Steuben County, or you’re lucky enough to live here, we’re open for you.

It’s feeling like fall today, but not in the crisp air/bright sunshine way😒

We are planning on opening today despite the weather for arcade games & ice cream. The course is open, but very wet! Hopefully we will be able to get it drier as the day continues, but the temps and clouds aren’t helping us out. Maybe we’ll be lucky enough for a peek of sunshine.

We’ll continue to be open 2 to 8, Saturday and Sunday as weather cooperates.

Labor Day Weekend hours:
Thursday-Monday: 2:00pm-8:00pm

The 101 degree heat index might have us fooled but the signs of fall are popping up. Earlier sunsets, a few leaves starting to turn, and everyone is back to school!

We’re closing out our summer hours this weekend, but we’ll be open Saturday and Sunday throughout September and into October weather and business depending.

A reminder that we are OPEN today but only until 6:00pm. The forecast is looking okay for right now (🤞) but we’ll let you know if anything changes

It’s time for the best week of the Steuben County season! Whether you’re camping, living lake life, or just hunkered down in your neighborhood waiting for everyone to go back to where they came from (😂), we’re open for you!

Normal hours with the exception of Saturday, July 4th. We will close at 6 that day due to all of the celebrations going on that we don’t want our employees to miss.

Be safe this week and we’ll see you around for mini golf, arcade games, Michigan Pot Hole ice cream, and fun!

Hate to have it happen so soon (we’re closing at 7 tonight, June 21st) but it’s time for our yearly explainer on bad weather and our hours!

If it is drizzling or scattered enough, or is just one of those pesky afternoon thunderstorms, we try to stay open! The course may be a bit wet during or after, but for those brave enough to wait it out with some arcade games and ice cream, we stick it out.

If we have a consistent downpour or severe storms that make playing the course impossible, we will close. We ALWAYS post on our stories on both IG and FB, plus change our voicemail.

Please note that lightening will require us to close the course and we only issue same day rain checks.

Phew! Hope we covered everything! Some days we wish we had a giant cover over all 18 holes, but that wouldn’t give it quite the midwestern summer charm it has now.

After some very unforeseen circumstances, we are FINALLY ready to open!

See you tomorrow, Saturday the 20th at 2pm!
Hours will be Thursday through Monday, 2 to 9, $8 for adults age 7+, kids 3 to 6 pay their age.

Since we get a lot of questions, yes, the north course is still closed. Due to its age and the way it was built, it will not be reopening. We know everyone loved it (we used to beg to play before we took over in 2019!) but it is unfortunately out of commission. We’ll be looking into options for that space going forward, but we hope everyone will be just as excited about having a fun locally-owned business to take the family after a long day of camping or boating.
