Look who made the front page! 📰👏

UPDATE AND CORRECTION:

We want to address an issue with a photo we recently shared of the Capital Gazette’s front page.

The original photograph was submitted to an AI-powered editing tool to improve its clarity, lighting, and overall readability for social media. Unfortunately, during that process, the AI generated inaccurate text and altered portions of the newspaper rather than simply enhancing the original photograph.

These changes were unintentional, and we were unaware that the image contained inaccuracies when it was published. After the Capital Gazette brought this to our attention, we replaced the edited image with the original, unaltered photograph.

We sincerely apologize for the oversight and any confusion it may have caused. There was never any intention to misrepresent the Capital Gazette, alter its reporting, or undermine its journalistic integrity.

The Capital Gazette has been a cornerstone of the Annapolis community for generations, and we have tremendous respect for its longstanding dedication to local journalism. We sincerely thank its team for bringing this matter to our attention.

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our beloved longtime employee and friend, Jenny del Carmen Trujillo Medina, who passed away on Friday, October 23rd.

Jenny was more than just an employee at Chick & Ruth’s Delly. She was part of our family. She will be remembered for her kindness, strength, warm smile, and the love she shared with those around her.

Jenny leaves behind two children, David (18) and Amaranta (14), who now face an unimaginable loss.

We are asking our wonderful Annapolis community to come together and help support Jenny’s family during this incredibly difficult time. A GoFundMe has been established to assist with funeral expenses and provide support for her children.
