We love our neighbors, and Ken loves our light roast!
The Tiny Apple Story đđ§ľ
Hi! Weâre Alison and Ken, the owners of Tiny Apple Fabric & Crafts in downtown Anoka, Minnesota. Weâre coming up on our 4th anniversary, and we realized many of you might not know our storyâso here goes!
Something Alison has only recently admitted: when she first started quilting, quilt shops intimidated her. Not because anyone was unkind, but because of that little voice saying, âEveryone in here knows more than I do.â Sound familiar? Alison has always been a craft dabbler and a jack of all trades, so walking into a shop full of fabric and expertise could feel like walking into a test she didnât know she was taking. These days, sheâs a seasoned quilter, but that little voice still pops up now and thenâand thatâs exactly why sheâs so good at helping others quiet theirs.
When we opened Tiny Apple, we made ourselves a promise: nobody should feel that way at our door. No gatekeeping. No pop quizzes. No judging your points. Just good fabric, real help, and people who are genuinely happy you stopped in.
And the name? Tiny Apple is a nod to Minneapolis, where Alison and Ken met and spent much of their dating years. Say âMinneapolisâ quickly and you might hear âMini Apple.â We made it smaller and cuterâthen filled thousands of square feet with fabric anyway. đ Tiny is a state of mind, right?
However you found us, and wherever you are in your stitching journey, weâre so glad youâre here. đâ¤ď¸
