More salads wraps bowls and protein.

In order to expand our menu, we had to go to a set breakfast and lunch menu. Our kitchen doesn't have the capacity to have everything all the time.

Breakfast 7-10:30 and lunch is 10:30-3

Our next "phase" is going to be stocking our cooler with grab and go items.

But first we have to get the staff trained in and comfortable with this new format.

So come see us today and try things out ❤️

We recently got asked a great question on one of our posts: "Why no meat?" Here is the honest answer from behind the counter:

To fit the standards of That Healthy Place, we would have to source high-quality, grass-fed, and grass-finished meat. The reality? It is incredibly expensive, and it would drive the price of your lunch through the roof.

Instead, we choose to focus on the power of plants. We also aren't fans of the factory farming industry. Yes, we know there are downsides to big agriculture across the board, but for our café, choosing plants aligns best with our mission.

Fun fact: I actually do eat meat! But it is meat that my husband hunts, processes, and finishes himself. We believe in taking the time to truly honor the animal’s life. Clean meat can be great for you—just not in a way that we can sustainably and affordably scale for the café right now.

Mainstream media pushes meat and protein constantly. I promise you, swapping out just one meal a day for a plant-based option is incredibly beneficial. Heavy proteins and the processed fats often found in conventional meats require your liver and digestive tract to do some heavy lifting to filter and break them down.

When you choose a plant-rich meal instead, you're trading that heavy workload for fiber and antioxidants. It gives your gut a rest, gives your liver a lighter filtering load for the day, and leaves you feeling vibrant instead of weighed down. 🌿✨

The Richmond exit will be closing. Please, please, please, with extra pleases, don't let this stop you from finding us. We still need business to stay open. Your few extra minutes of getting to us, means the world to us.
