Our area is abundant with place to go. Especially outside in nature. But if you’re not sure where to go or haven’t visited our area here’s just a few spots that I’ll share…I swear no beeeeeps ;)

Getting down to the final roast… as we wrap up the supplies of our latest coffee from Bali, Indonesia I wanted to highlight this one before it’s gone.

A heavy, syrupy and lingering cup with a sweet finish. Carries a little bit of the robust, traditional characteristics of a higher roast level while only coming in at a light medium roast. This coffee is very versatile and can be brewed great in any format.

My family and I have had the pleasure of visiting this area in the high reaches of Vulcan Batur, in the Kintamani region of Bali. These are small holder lots and family operated farms. Every farm carries the craft of landscape art. Plants tended by hand in alluvial volcanic soil on steep slopes. It’s truly a place of juxtaposition where the hot humid days turn to cool nights. Ideal conditions for the shrub :)

We’re here for it, and I hope you are too…. Supporting stewardship at the farm is at the forefront of our mission. That’s what we’re after with our latest coffee from Brazil and the family of Fazenda Três Meninas.

Três Meninas is a regenerative, organic farm in the heart of Brazil’s coffee growing region. With an eye on stewardship of their land, you can’t get a cleaner cup of coffee.

Roasted medium, the cup is creamy, sweet, nutty and chocolatey. Comfort cup all the way. Doesn’t matter how this coffee is brewed up. It comes out true each and every time. House favorite brewing formats are french press and espresso, where texture and body are the highlights.

No soup for you!….haha just messin’. Building it all from scratch, tucked away in the industrial park of Arcata has its moments. From dead quiet to line down the steps in just a few minutes. The hustle is real.

I always like to say that without YOU there is no US. We always appreciate the patience when those moments come when we have a lineup to get a cuppa 🙏🏼

The job of a barista can be downright exhausting but rewarding too. It’s like being a bartender at a hopped up sober club :) So a huge salute of gratitude to all of you bariSTARS who make it happen.

Annie and Mary…. while I’m not saying the trail’s officially open, it sure is getting its use and we’re seeing folks come on in from time to time with their bikes.

With summer upon us and our shop open Saturdays and Sundays (until the rains return) sure seems like a good option to get out with the kiddos or your friends and come on down.

We are connected by the cup, connected by community, and now, connected by a bike path :)

Handing out the nuggets….for those of you who have visited our area and engaged in conversation with me, I tend to hand out a few special places to go.

Sometimes it’s a spot in the redwoods, and for others, it’s along our local rivers. Especially the swim holes. Those are the true gems.

So thought I’d share some of those little tidbits, and if you missed all that, come by the shop ;)…. be happy to share.

Six Rivers National Forest Is Our Home

Unique origins with big results ….our latest coffee from Thailand has shown just that. A lightly roasted natural coffee for the pour over and aeropress lover (pulls great ‘spro too) that’s sweet strawberry all the way.

Clean, sweet and fruit forward we’ve been really dialed in a flat-bottom pour over brewer, 17:1 ratio, brewed at 195° with a 12 ounce cup brewed in about three minutes.

We’re already halfway through our allotment on this one, so get it while you can. Shout out Chris Casassa Ally Coffee - Green Coffee Company always keeping us dialed on the good good 🙏🏼

Keeping in the positive…. The bike paths in our community are coming together, and while it may not officially be open, it’s definitely getting used.

Bike, hike or walk. The progression towards a connected community that doesn’t require jumping in your car is here. Really excited for the future of Fogline Coffee, tucked back in the industrial park, with our own special pathway :)

Summer season weekend service begins. We will be open Saturdays 9 AM to 2 PM and Sundays 9 AM to 1 PM

From the coast and onto them hills the idea to rep our area was a no brainer. We are packed with natural beauty that’s simply hard to beat.

Every time I look at our logo I see something that keeps me grounded and reminds me of the different parts of our “backyard”.
