Hi Everyone! Though I have been enjoying my break, I find myself simply too excited about 2 Plymouth food businesses to keep quiet. As I think you know, I like eating out at locally-owned restaurants and bars. And, when I come across something good, I always feel compelled to tell people.
1) Gather 2 Graze Charcuterie, LLC has been steadily building a following in the area for 2 years now because of both their creativity and their quality. I am kind of one of the late ones to learn about them. I got one of their breakfast sandwiches at Saturday's Plymouth Farmer's Market and I understand now why they keep selling so many each weekend.
I had intended to just eat it in the car before driving home. But, when I took a close look at the inside of the sandwich, and realized how they made it, I decided to take it home and cut it in half so I could show you. The egg inside was basically a folded french omelette... almost like a crepe, and yet the sign on their table simply said "scrambled egg".
Their attention to detail is why I am so looking forward to being a patron when they eventually open up their brick-and-mortar in downtown Plymouth. After all, if they can do what they are currently doing at the Farmer's Market, they are certainly going to do a lot of fantastic things when their official home base is ready.
2) Guanajuato Supermarket is cooking delicious Mexican food right in the center of downtown Plymouth. They are in the red building that I've shown in a photo.
As the newest Mexican restaurant in the neighborhood, I have not seen them get the attention and accolades that they deserve. I have had lunch there 3 times now. And, I've been kind of on the sidelines hoping someone else would say some nice things about them.
I haven't yet introduced myself to the owner and told them how much I appreciate their tacos. So, I'm just going to do that here right now... "Guanajuato, excellent work! I like eating four of your carne asada tacos for lunch. And, I get annoyed that I'm too full to eat 4 more."
I love that Plymouth has so many Mexican restaurants now. I think it encourages them all to level-up their game. And, we as customers all benefit from that.
Both Plymouth and Rochester are evolving into food destinations right before our eyes. James
