Calling poets of all ages! 🖋️📜✍️
In anticipation of National Poetry Month, we’re collecting original works from locals to display in our windows throughout April! Whether you’re a seasoned writer or this is your first poem ever, we’d love to share your work!
***Submission requirements***
1) Original work only!
2) Fit on a single Letter size page (8.5 x 11 inches)
3) Legible font in a fairly large size (we want the poems to be easy to read regardless of where they’re placed in our windows!)
4) Include the name under which you would like to be credited (“Anonymous” is a perfectly valid choice!)
5) PDF format (for online submissions)
In terms of content, we ask that poems be uplifting and non-political. Although we do not shy away from engaging with serious topics here at Maxima, we want to use this particular project to bring joy and smiles to our community!
***Deadlines***
Poems will be displayed in our windows April 1-30, so the sooner you send us your work, the better!
To also be featured on our social media, poems must be submitted by April 15th at the latest.
