Bavette Steak w/Creamed Spinach, Bordelaise, Marrow Butter & Potato Puree: absolutely perfect takes on steakhouse classics, with an amazing blend of textures and flavors for a completely satisfying meal

NC Bigeye Tuna w/Lentils, Wilted Greens & Salsa Verde: light, vibrant, amazing…words can’t really do it justice. It’s so, so good!

Honey Roasted Carrots w/Hazelnuts, Brown Butter & Truffled Yogurt: soft, sweet carrots contrast with crunchy hazelnuts and the slight acidity of the yogurt, finished with a hint of richness from the truffle and a hint of heat from a dusting of pepper flake

Warm Chocolate Cake w/Orange Custard & Candied Orange: the perfect seasonal winter dessert with aromatic citrus perfectly complementing our fundraiser cocktail special, the Manna Food Bank Hot Toddy ($5 from each goes to MANNA FoodBank!)

Brûléed Bread Pudding w/Brioche, Custard & Chocolate: layers of soft bread pudding and deep, dark chocolate contrast with the crunchy, caramel-y brûlée top of this big ol’ dessert for two (or more - it’s big!)

Also…we have new merch! Hats, hoodie, t-shirt, coffee mug, gift cards (physical and digital), even SOCKS with Tall John’s very own socks on them. We’ve thought of everything. Order a TJ’s gift for the discerning diner who loves eating very good food at our very good restaurant 💚

The Sunday brunch menu has recently gotten a big seasonal update and it’s all very, very good. Pictured first is the Dutch Baby w/Caramelized Apples & Whipped Cream (plus maple syrup drizzled on top). It’s slightly sweet, pleasantly fruity, delicately spiced & all-around amazing, a great dish to share with the table!

Also new:

Sweet Potato Hash w/Oyster Mushrooms, Pickled Pepper, Turnip Purée & Poached Eggs (logs of amazing flavor in this one, a light & refreshing choice for brunch)

Pork Schnitzel w/Dijon Gravy & Fried Egg (schnitzel is an elusive Tall John’s classic...get it while you can!)

A Very Nice Brunch Salad (another light option brunch that gets extra depth of flavor from a topping of grated cheese & toasted seeds, plus an egg on top)

Congrats to all the Asheville restaurants recognized by the MICHELIN Guide…including us! That’s right: Tall John’s is officially a Michelin-recommended restaurant.
