This weekend’s special: Beef Caldereta and Buko Pandan (Coconut Pandan)
Beef Caldereta is a rich, slow-cooked stew made with tender beef, liver, tomatoes, bell peppers, potatoes, and a deeply savory sauce layered with bold, hearty flavors. Traditionally simmered for hours to develop its signature depth and richness, it’s a dish that showcases the comforting soul of Filipino home cooking.
This weekend, we’re serving our traditional take on this classic in celebration of Chef recent win on Top Chef, where she proudly showcased Caldereta as her final dish. We’re proud to see Filipino cuisine receive the recognition it deserves and hope it inspires more people to explore the stories, traditions, and flavors behind these dishes.
For dessert, we’ll have Buko Pandan, a refreshing Filipino dessert made with young coconut, pandan-flavored jelly, tapioca pearls, and a lightly sweet cream. Cool, fragrant, and perfectly chilled, it’s the perfect way to finish a hearty meal.
