we're celebrating the diversity that makes our music, food, ideas, and communities richer

we're not where we dream of being, but we recognize how far we've come and all the people who are building something kinder, fairer, and more joyful together

working in a restaurant - in the kitchen or on the floor - is oftentimes considered a temporary or "entry level" job. but for some, restaurants are where they thrive, where their passion is, and where they bring their art to life.

has led kitchens and entire restaurants in asheville for over a decade and he is truly one of the most gifted and dedicated people we've known in this industry.

we were lucky to have him be our first front of house lead, developing and fine-tuning our hospitality program, and also be our first guest chef in our kitchen takeovers series.

california got to enjoy him over the winter, but he's back in town for a spell, and this coming wednesday he'll be back in our kitchen, cooking up a menu full of fresh summer dishes - and we can't wait to taste all of it
