So hey folks, I wanted to say a few words that have been weighing on me a little, and I wouldn't feel right if I didn't say them.

So on Sunday night I started what has now been a four day bout with stomach flu. If anyone knows me, I basically live at the shack. 7 days a week, in at 6am sometimes, and out at 9pm most times. I've grown to accept my 7-day a week schedule, and truthfully after a while it sometimes feels like I Stockholm myself into thinking I HAVE to be there, to always have my hand in the day if not both elbows.

This week has completely destroyed this notion that nothing could slow me down. That I am mortal, I am human, and as my wife says "if you don't stop to give your body time to rest, then it will make that decision for you." I've been more or less glued to my bed or the facilities since this whole thing started.

But what I honestly want to say, is that I love my staff, and they have gone above and beyond to keep me at home. From covering line shifts, handeling my prep responsibilities, and working the extra hours that I unfortunately couldn't do.

It's not easy working in restaurants folks. We in this industry lay ourselves down on the wire so we can keep this place busy. Almost every day now you can walk in and see us white knuckling our way through a dinner rush, and it takes all of it out of you, and to take on the extra tasks I couldn't just means so incredibly much to me.

So this is a special thank you to my team, and the employees you know and love here at Fire!

Charles, Zai, Ali, Chris, & Jess thank you for being ride or dies this week. I quite literally couldn't do it without you. ❤️❤️
