🍣 FINAL Mini Sushi Chefs class of the summer — this Saturday!

Hi parents! We're SoonYi Sushi in Astoria (100 Columbia Ave), and we're closing out the summer with one final kids' sushi workshop.

🕚 11:00 am – 12:30 pm
👦 Recommended Ages 6–12
💵 $25 per child — includes the lesson, all ingredients and tools, a meal, and a "Mini Sushi Chef" certificate
🍚 Allergy swaps available, just let the staff know.
👨‍🍳 Only 8–10 spots

👨‍👩‍👧 Stay for lunch or drop off — whatever works for you.

It’s Dungeness crab season 🦀—a time when many people gather with family and friends to enjoy a holiday favorite. But for the fishermen who make it possible, the holidays are often spent at sea.

Pictured here is Josh Suiter, a member of Captain Arik Roberts’ crew aboard the Miss Sarah, proudly supporting Soon Yi Sushi while working the deck. While the Miss Sarah fishes whiting for Da Yang Seafoods in the summer, their winters are spent crabbing in Brookings, OR.

These fishermen brave rough seas, long days, and time away from their families—often during the holidays—so we can serve the very best. We’re deeply grateful to Josh, Captain Arik, his crew, and all fishermen whose hard work makes meals like yours possible.
