Kelly loves meeting first-time visitors to the restaurant and hearing that people enjoy the Classic City and all the beautiful parks in the area. Karen stopped in after her hiking group visited the UGA Botanical Gardens and came by for a meal afterward.

10 years ago today we lost our friend Ron Geyton....

For those of you who don’t know the man this picture is Ron Geyton. Ron was a USAF Veteran who served his country for over 30 years and played a significant role during the Cold War while stationed in Turkey. After retirement Ron moved to Athens in the mid 80s and quickly made the Classic City his home. Ron was a fixture at Kelly’s Jerk and got to know many of the restaurant regulars. Ron passed away on February 18th, 2015 at the age of 77. Today one of his Air Force hats hangs over the counter top where he used to stand.
