Gnat’s Landing lost its patriarch today. R.I.P Robert “Boz” Bostock. Your entertaining personality and love of food, family and friends will be sorely missed. Thank you letting two knuckleheads give your restaurant a chance in GNAThens, GA. Not many people would have done that in this day and age. We had a great run with Gnat’s Landing and we appreciated all of your help and support through the years. We will miss you. Love, Oz and Jersey.

It is with much regret that we have to report the closing of Gnat’s Landing in Athens, GA. It has been our privilege to serve the Athens and Oconee communities for over 4 ½ years. Despite our best efforts, in this economy, we could not sustain the business and continue providing the great service and quality our customers have come to expect.

We want to especially thank our staff, both past and present, who worked with us during this time. Without their effort, we would not have lasted as long as we did. It has been a blessing to have met and worked with them over the years.

Special thanks to Robert Bostock for allowing us to run with this idea. He got us half way up the hill through all his success with the Gnat’s Landing in St. Simons. We just couldn’t get it over the hump. Thanks for everything BOZ!

Rob and I have had a great experience at Gnat’s getting to know you and truly appreciate your patronage and support over the years. I am sure our paths will cross again, so we won’t say good-bye, just HEADING TO THE BEACH, BE BACK SOON!
