Boots On The Ground is a local initiative owned and operated by Dennis Daniel, a dedicated Vietnam War Veteran. The primary objective of Boots On The Ground is to actively engage with the community of Atlantic, Iowa by providing delicious food from our food trailer and utilizing the proceeds to offer assistance to veterans in need. Our veterans have selflessly given and sacrificed a great deal to

safeguard and protect our great nation. While our efforts represent just a small contribution to the overall support system for veterans, it brings us immense satisfaction to employ this new patriotic endeavor to continually raise awareness and garner support from the community of Atlantic, Iowa

Good day friends and Happy Thursday to you all!

What a week it has been for myself:

A great weekend cooking and serving some great food for you all. Overwhelmed in a great way to the response from everyone that has come out, enjoyed my cooking and your generosity in supporting my mission!

Then yesterday I had the great opportunity to fly out of Fort Dodge on a Veteran Honor Flight to Washington DC. Out and back all in one day. Most definitely one of the greatest things I have had the opportunity to do in my life. Everyone that put this experience together for us I want to say, thank you from the bottom of my heart.

I’ll be heading back to Atlantic today and will be back out in town this weekend to serve up some more great food. I’ll be at the following locations this weekend.

Friday-By Whitney Bank
Sunday & Monday at Sunnyside Range.

I hope you all have a great holiday weekend. Please take a short moment to remember our Veterans that made the ultimate sacrifice for our great nation. Freedom is truly not free!

One last thing, I feel compelled to share my actual mission statement with everyone at this point given the outstanding response from the Atlantic community.
