Guess what??? I will be spending Saturday, August 15th, at this event at Cayuga Lake National Bank in Union Springs! This means the bakery will be closed that day, BUT Union Springs has a lot of great things to experience, amazing food at JW Bait & Tackle where you can also find my cinnamon rolls for sale, Jasons NY Pizzeria, Bearded Bear BBQ & Catering and of course the Union Springs Supermarket where you can find lots of picnic foods, salads, and fresh made to order subs and sandwiches.. plus, its the Mackenzie Childs Warehouse Sale weekend which is located in the Stoda building down by Frontenac Park. I'll be selling at the market from 9-noon so we all hope you will take a short drive out to our awesome village and see us! I am really excited to be a first time participant here and can't wait to see everyone!

We are excited to announce our second annual National Honey Bee Day Farmer's Market will take place at our Union Springs branch next month! Mark your calendars for Saturday, August 15th. We'll have food, flowers, fresh produce & more! 🐝

I am open! Here until one today. I have regular cinnamon rolls and I’m also “rolling” out a new experiment which is a cinnamon roll but in the shape of a croissant with a vanilla glaze. They were fun to make, and I have some structural changes to make but if you like the cinnamon rolls, these are a fun little twist, literally! And they have a vanilla glaze as opposed to a cream cheese frosting.  I also have a very limited supply of blueberry, lemon scones and peanut butter and jelly scones, and some chocolate chip scones as well. I will be starting the S’Morgans soon so I would expect those to be done by 10. See you all soon!

Happy Cookie eve... again... I have some cinnamon rolls for my special treat tomorrow... and a limited supply of scones for $4 each. And of course COOKIES! I will be making S'Morgans first thing in the AM so stop and grab one right out of the oven! See you all tomorrow, open 8 AM to 1 PM!

Whattt?? Tomorrow is cookie day! Graduation party cookies are out to their graduates or will be soon and I appreciate all of you choosing XL Cookies for your celebrations! Open tomorrow (Saturday July 11th) 8-1 and was super busy with cookies this week so TBD on special items but I will have some cinnamon rolls! Will see what this afternoon brings! Happy 4th Of July and Happy 250th Birthday America! To each and every one of my amazing customers and followers, and your families and friends, have a fun and safe holiday weekend! I am closed today and will be back at the bakery next Saturday, July 11th, from 8 am to 1 pm. I hope to see you all soon!

Hope all of my cookie friends are staying cool somehow during this gross humidity and excessive heat. Took a couple days off from my regular job to get things caught up around the house but now am expecting to spend at least today and tomorrow perched in front of my AC trying not to melt. Mission fail! The mental break will be SO helpful though! Please remember that I am CLOSED this coming weekend.. and I will be back at the bakery on July 11th ready to go for the rest of the summer! but please keep reading for some other notes!

As of right now, I will be CLOSED at the bakery on September 19th for one of my favorite selling events of the year! Art in the Park - Auburn, NY Come see me from 10-4 at Hoopes Park that day... mark your calendars!

I am STILL trying to find a time during the super busy summer season for an anniversary customer appreciation celebration to thank each and every one of you for an incredible first 10 years (which quietly came and went in April!) Trying to coordinate with my favorites, when not much else is going on, is proving to be a far more difficult task than I expected. But even if it its late and we wait until fall, keep your eyes open for an event and I hope you can all come to help me celebrate YOU!

Had a bit of a sticker shock when ordering single color M&M's to finish out the grad party season... (thank you to all who ordered this year!! ) M&M mars is doing a little restructuring from what I read which is a good thing. A few colors are being rebranded to remove the bad dyes which I love but has caused some cost increases and shortages. The single color reorder I placed last week came to $18/lb when I buy a 5 lb bag while regular rainbow are about $4.25/lb. Some old school math opened my eyes to the fact that I need to up my price for these specialty M&M cookies, not to make more $ but to not lose $ on these special orders. I hate to do it as you all know by now, but here we are! New pricing on the custom or single color M&M cookies will be $15/dozen starting with orders placed after July 1st! They look so nice, and charging this much seems like a crime, but $18/lb is a real crime too! All the rest of the small sized cookies will remain unchanged and the menu is still pinned to the top of the page. Thanks in advance for understanding.

Good morning! I will be opening today around 7 AM since I’m here early and ready to go. Just a heads up since I am not here next weekend today only all of the scones and muffins are $1 off. I’ve pretty much wrapped up my experimentation with them and how long they will last and how often they can freeze and for how long and now I will start my rotation of making small batches and offering only a few items at a time to be able to reduce waste and keep the cost down. I quickly learned that the additional items are more time consuming to make, and also more difficult to keep for any length of time before at least the muffins and scones start to dry out. Being only open one day a week that makes things difficult and more waste equals higher cost, so I’m trying to find a balance to make sure the people who love them can get them, but that I make just enough to not have to throw any away. All that being said, I am here until 1 PM today and again the muffins and scones are a dollar off today only until they are gone and I will see you all soon!

I feel like we just had cookie day…. But guess what? Tomorrow is cookie day again! I will be open tomorrow from 8 AM to 1 PM and please keep in mind… I will not be open next Saturday which is America’s Birthday! 250 years…. And I thought being 50 was old! Looking forward to one last weekend for me before the end of the busy summer and then we shall see if I can squeeze one more in before we jump into fall and then the super crazy holiday season which I am so looking forward to! The holidays are a lot of really hard work but putting together trays and orders for people to enjoy for all of their functions throughout the fall and holidays brings me such joy so I thank you for allowing me the privilege. But enough sappy Friday! Everyone enjoy your night and if I don’t see you tomorrow, please everyone have a safe and happy Independence Day!  I will post again in the morning with the specialties for the day. See you all soon.
