FRIDAY WEEKEND KICKOFF ☀️🍺🐟

What a week it’s been!

You all have kept us busy from the moment we opened on Tuesday, and that’s exactly the kind of problem we love to have. The crew has been tested all week long, and today we’re getting ready for what we expect to be an even bigger Father’s Day weekend.

The team was in early this morning prepping fresh haddock, cutting chicken, stocking coolers, and getting everything ready for the rush. We also received a fresh beer and wine delivery, so we’re fully stocked and ready to go. As for me, I’m spending the morning changing out fryer oil and making sure everything is dialed in because when it’s this busy, the little details matter.

Good Thursday morning, everyone!

We’ll take this little break from the heat and humidity today. After the stretch of hot, sticky weather we’ve had, a cooler rainy Thursday isn’t all bad.

It’s also Family Meal Thursday at KP’s Place, so if you’re looking for an easy dinner solution, we’ve got you covered.

We’ve already been busy to start the week, and we want to thank all of you who have stopped in during our first two days. With Father’s Day weekend here, Trek Across Maine coming through the area, and a lot happening around town, we’re expecting that momentum to continue right through Saturday. The good news? Our team is ready for it.

🚨 We’re Back, L/A! 🚨

After a couple of much needed days to recharge, the crew is back at it and the fryers are hot!

We’re open today from 11 AM – 7 PM and ready to take care of lunch, dinner, and everything in between. Whether you’re craving a lobster roll, seafood stew, fried haddock, shrimp, scallops, or our famous fried chicken, we’ve got you covered.

On a personal note, today was a big day for us. We completed our final inspection with the Fire Department for the food trailer, and everything went great! ✅

We’re now waiting on the final approvals, and once those are in hand, we’ll start sharing details about the trailer, where you’ll be able to find us, and what our plans are moving forward. It’s been a long process, but we’re getting very close, and we’re excited to finally start sharing more with all of you.

For those who have reached out about catering, private events, festivals, and food trailer bookings, thank you for your patience. I’ll be getting back to everyone soon as we move toward the finish line and can begin locking in dates and plans.

Lots of exciting things happening here at KP’s Place, and we can’t wait to share them with you.

☀️ What a Week at KP’s Place! ☀️

The weather has certainly let us know that summer is here. It’s been hot, humid, and busy all week long—and honestly, we wouldn’t have it any other way.

A huge thank you to all of you who have let us do some of the cooking this week. Whether you’ve stopped in for lunch, grabbed dinner on the way home, ordered takeout, or had us help feed a larger gathering, we truly appreciate every visit.

Speaking of feeding a crowd, we’ve had several large party platters head out the door this week, including one that helped feed well over 100 people. Those orders are always a lot of fun for us. If you’ve got graduation parties, family reunions, summer gatherings, company events, or visitors coming to town, keep KP’s Place in mind. We make feeding a crowd simple, easy, and delicious.

On a personal note, today is a big day for our family. My daughter, Cami, officially graduates from high school. As a dad, it’s hard to put into words how proud I am of everything she has accomplished academically, athletically, and through her volunteer work. Watching her grow into the young woman she is today has been one of the greatest joys of my life.

Next stop: UMF! 📚🎓

I can’t wait to see what this next chapter brings for her.

I also want to give a special shout-out to our incredible staff. If you’ve been outside this week, you know how hot it’s been. Now imagine standing over fryers and grills all day. The crew has absolutely been grinding through the heat while continuing to serve great food and take care of our customers. Their effort and dedication do not go unnoticed.

We’re running close on a few items simply because it’s been such a busy week, which is a good problem to have, but if you’ve been thinking about stopping in, today is a great day to do it.

🍗 Family Meal Thursday + A Huge Thank You! 🍕

One of our favorite things about being part of this community is getting the opportunity to support great causes and spend time with so many amazing people.

Last night, we had the privilege of participating in the Walk to End Alzheimer’s “Raising Dough” pizza-making fundraiser at DaVinci’s, and what a fantastic event it was! A huge thank you to everyone who came out to support the cause. The room was full of energy, laughter, friendly competition, and most importantly, people coming together for something bigger than themselves.

I was honored to serve as one of the judges, which of course meant I had the difficult job of eating a lot of pizza! 🍕😄🤙

One of the fun twists of the competition was that each judge got to bring a secret ingredient to throw at the teams as a last-minute challenge. Naturally, I had to bring some KP’s Place chicken! And let me tell you, every team did an incredible job incorporating it into their creations.

I have to admit, I was especially surprised by our friends over at Lydia Media. They clearly know a thing or two about making pizza because their flavors were outstanding. The creativity from all of the teams was impressive and made judging incredibly difficult.

Events like these remind us why we are so excited to be participating in this year’s Walk to End Alzheimer’s campaign. You’ll continue hearing more from us throughout the summer as we work toward our fundraising goals, and we hope you’ll join us along the way.
