We're a little behind in our posts but we had to share a bit after a phenomenal fundraiser last weekend!

Thanks to generosity of our friends, family and neighbors we were able to raise $6,295 to donate to the CHARGE Foundation in memory of our sweet little Logan. We greatly appreciate everyone who came to help setup/prep and those who came to enjoy the company and food while we celebrated Logan!

Huge thanks to Sassy Smoke BBQ and Big Racks Barbecue as well as Hormel Foods for donating pork butts for our fundraiser. Also a huge thanks to Lynn Marty for all the amazing desserts!

We know Logan made sure the weather cooperated so we could have an amazing day with everyone!

We're finally home after a 1500+ mile round trip to the KCBS World Invitational in Lebanon, TN. Feels good to have a day without rain since we didn't get one of those the whole weekend! We had a great weekend even though our results didn't end up the best. Asher may have even made himself a new best friend! Thanks to our neighbors Hormonal Escape Competition BBQ Team for the child care support 😉

22nd in ribs
33rd overall out of 47 teams. All of which earned their chance to be there so we cant be too upset! Congrats to all the teams who heard their name called throughout the weekend!

No BBQ today but we did participate in the dessert and cocktail competitions.

Caitlin tried her hand at dessert, making one of her favorites, creme brulee! Even added a candied bacon rose to each one. Based on the results, we should have just done cheesecake like everyone else!

I took on the cocktail contest and made a blackberry mint smash. Very refreshing and scored well landing us in 15th out of 45 teams.

Asher did his best to stay dry today. I think we all failed at that though! Big day tomorrow with the backyard KCBS Invitational!
