Proud to have been nominated for Best Cocktail Bar in the Austin Chronicle's 2018, 2019, and 2020 Readers Polls as well as two bartenders nominated for Best Bartender! After 25 wonderful years in the field of clinical science, I thought I would try to have my own business. A bar seem like the right challenge for me. Six years after coming up with the idea, my dream was realized when I moved to Aus

tin from Santa Barbara for the love of live music and to change my life. I had always enjoyed a good cocktail, however, I never knew for sure how great cocktails were made. I thought it was just the bartender; I learned that although the bartender has a good deal to do with it, there is a world of wonderful cocktail recipes out there, some of which have been with us for 100 years or more. I also had the desire to make my bar a neighborhood-style bar/pub the likes of which I'd found on my trips to the Midlands of England. The Tigress is inspired by trips to England, my love of fine liquors and hospitality."
