Hey everyone, we wanted to come here and thank yall for the support that yall have shown us. Business has been doing well recently, but with the decline of tourism in the winter months, we are gonna be cutting back our open times to only be open on the first and third weekends of every month for a while, beginning in September. Thank yall for your support and coming out to help us with opening this business back up.

I just wanted to come on here and say thank you to everyone who came out to support us this past weekend. We are so grateful for the amazing community of people who came out to support us. Our hours will now be Saturday and Sunday, from 11 am to 6 pm. Some of the items on our menu will include pulled pork, pulled chicken, smoked hamburgers, hot dogs, Conecuh dogs, baked beans, coleslaw, chips, and Brunswick stew, I'll be adding things as we go. We sold out completely of some things last weekend, so if you're interested in getting something, make sure you come out early! We are still working on getting a hold of the Facebook and Google pages to be able to change the times we are open, and we may have to create a new page to be able to change that. We appreciate y'all so much and hope to see everyone out there!

Stephen Clarence Batson was born March 26, 1954, in Winter Haven, Florida, to Clarence James and Pauline Davis Batson. He passed away January 8, 2025, after a courageous and hard-fought battle with cancer.

Steve, known to most people as Bo**er, was raised in Escambia Farms and attended Escambia Farms School for five years before transferring to Baker School where he was a member of the 1972 Baker High School graduating class.

After losing his mother at a very young age, Steve developed a close, unbreakable bond with his sisters, Debbie and Brenda, who have been by his side through this entire journey....

A time of visitation will be held Monday, January 13, 2025 from 12:30-2:00pm at Whitehurst-Powell Funeral Home with the funeral service starting at 2:00pm. Burial will follow at Cotton Cemetery.

Steve is still undergoing chemo. He says he feels better than he has in years. Keep praying for a good report this week. He hopes that he will continue to feel this healthy and hopes to eventually be able to open Wagon Wheel back up( MAYBE). When he feels like he can, we will update you all and let you know. Until then, keep the prayers coming. We know Jesus is the great physician. ✝️💜 - Ami

Wagon Wheel BBQ will be closed the weekend of Christmas (December 23-24) and New Years (December 30-31). We plan to reopen on January 6, 2023.
