With them, they brought family recipes from two very successful pizza shops; Sam's Pizza (Ottawa, IL) and Joe's Pizza (Established in 1958 in Streator, IL). After Sal's passing in 2004, Vita kept Sergio's going for a bit, but eventually ended up selling Sergio's the following year to Tony Diogaurdi. Tony took the wheel and added his Passion for food and personal flare to the menu. After 19 years,

Tony decided he was ready to retire his apron and pass the business on. In May of 2024, Deena and Peter Wilkes took over. After decades of working in the food and beverage industry, it seemed right to have a place to call their own. With the help of friends, family and a seasoned staff, they are carrying on the Sergio's Pizza traditions (including those original recipes), while bringing a little bit of their own style to the game.
