So almost a month has gone by since we closed our windows. Figured we needed to let everyone know where things stand. After much time was spent getting services shut off and necessary permits, the building was hoisted from it's foundation. What we found was most unfortunate. The original specs for the building stated it was built on a heavy duty three axle trailer. Since we'd never actually mounted the axles onto the trailer before placing the building on its foundation, we did not realize one of the mounting brackets was missing. The unfortunate result of this is that the building cannot be transported without significant expense that the owners just can't absorb. After much deliberation, we've decided to put the building up for sale and bid a sad farewell to the coffee business. We're hoping someone with the means to move the building and a desire to carry the torch may come along. If you know of any such people, please send them our way.

It is with heavy hearts that we make this announcement. Hot Shots Caffe' will be closing up at our current location on West Main Street this Saturday (8/2/14). We have thoroughly enjoyed serving Batavia from this location for the past 10 years and love the customers who have made us part of their daily/weekly routines. We hope to reestablish operations at a new location in the near future and look forward to serving you again soon.
